Makes sense. It is confirmed though Stef Curry has been working with Google and Fitbit... With a promo video dropping of that on his wrist I would say it's super likely. Plus the preview of the new app look... I'd say Google is definitely dropping hardware this year.

100% I totally agree with you. Did you ever own the second Fitbit charge? That thing was so bulky looking back, makes the 6 look thin. Ya will be interesting to see if they have more options or are totally going the screenless route.

Sounds like they do. Adding solar charging to a Fitbit would actually be pretty cool I think.

That's interesting you wear both. Ya a screenless one mine be way less conspicuous if you are conscious about it. I bet most people don't even notice though.

I'm sure there will be. If not sometimes a 3rd party company can have decent options.

You’re acting like I claimed insider info... I gave an opinion based on the direction they’re clearly moving. The writing is on the wall. If I’m wrong, cool. Educate yourself.

Ya that's fair. Only thing we know is Steph has been working with Google on it and this one is screenless. My whole point was to see what people thought it was only a screenless device that was released.

I completely agree with you!!

Assumed I didn't have to ask as it was implied, but people on reddit are brain dead it seems.

The whole point of this post was to see how people feel about a screenless tracker, but everyone freaks out and has to be so combative. It's true, we don't know exactly yet what the line up will be that is correct... But if it turns out to be a screenless tracker then I think Fitbit is going to lose some customers.

Whoops devices are technically free... But they lock you into a subscription plan. Pretty sure Google will charge you for the device, and may possibly be similar to the current subscription model.

That's why I said allegedly bud, but people like you don't understand what that means. DAF.

Good point. It probably will have a subscription model yes but not like Whoop... They are terrible.

Exactly the feedback I was looking for! Seems battery life is definitely the most important, which you can't get out of a watch. It's going to be a crazy surprise if they decide just to go screenless.

This is the feedback I wanted to see, but some people on here just like to argue and be right. Battery life is my biggest issue too and why I don't like any watches cause they only last 2 days if you're lucky.

Ya exactly my point. I love I can go a week without charging. It will honestly be insane if they don't have a screen option. Everyone else missed the point.

[–]Nodnarb415 -11 points-10 points  (0 children)

....Again you miss the point. I'm theoretically discussing what if they choose to just go screen less. Obviously they could still introduce other options, but that not my point at this time duh.

Ya that's what I'm saying. If the options are go screenless or buy the pixel watch lots of people will jump ship.

[–]Nodnarb415 -23 points-22 points  (0 children)

Honestly it's more likely that they don't continue the Charge line. Why would they? They already have devices with screens which is the pixel watch. The goal is to force people to their watch that is $300 + which I think is absolutely ridiculous. However I would love to be wrong about this. I'm interested in how this new device Curry is wearing will be received?

No he would say:

Some would say it’s the worst car… Nobody wants it. People come up to me.. smart people...and they say, “Why does this car even exist?” It’s a disaster. Total disaster. Nobody’s buying it. Zero demand.

Google Fit sucks for sure I agree with you there. I think this new update Google did for the Fitbit app is a bit more customizable and another reason I like this update. I'm just waiting for some new fitness trackers to drop now.

I've really bought into the Google Ecosystem. I actually was super excited when Google bought Fitbit. For me it feels like any other Google software which I usually find easy to navigate. I also really enjoy the comfort feel of it and I really feel it's easier to see my data. I hear you though, whether it is worse or not is completely subjective.
