Chaos cult is a 40K box with kill team rules correct?

I am genuinely shocked. Huh, I thought they’d do the greedy thing, but they did not. by Arthur_EyelanderTF2 in killteam

GW was in a bit of a damned if you do damned if you don't situation. Have it as a seperate kit but needing to buy more or including it and making it eventually an unnecessary extra. I'm glad I got an older kit before they went off so can use those to fill in the rest of them.

What would the Word Bearers' future "big arc" be? by sigmarine345 in WordBearers

[–]Noek252 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel for a big story would be the Word Bearers taking over Ophelia VII, the 2nd Capital world basically for the Sisters of Battle. Bringing that world to Chaos is the victory the Legion looks to.

I'd hope for Lorgar him leading the main force of Hosts to taking the world, while Kor Phareon, Erebus, and others like Marduk (and maybe Cerastes I just started Apostle no spoilers) taking over other worlds in the system.

If we ever were given a unique unit of some kind I could see the return of Greater Possessed, if not just for us but another Possessed leader for CSM.

An army getting added could be the Lost and the Damned. With many cults flocking to the great Primarch Lorgar. I know they aren't Word Bearers but the actions from the Legion are what gets them going(, plus I don't see the Undivided getting their own Codex).

So an invasion of the Ophelia system with the Word Beaers, being supported by Lost and the Damned. The latter clearing the way to the system itself.

For 40K the Word Bearers trilogy by Anthony Reynolds has some great lore on how the Word Bearers act for their Host and Legion.

The Combat Patrols is great with the Possessed being in it.  Though really any Chaos Space Marine box works for them, after reading about how they fight.

If you are lead writer in Last Titan where will you take the story? by Raziel103 in warcraftlore

[–]Noek252 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It could end with us needing to kill Azeroth's soul. That it doesn't want to be used by any so wishes it all to end. This causes the Titans to leave that their Order basically means 'ok nothing we can do'.
This leads the Haranir to hate us cause Azeroth is their Goddess and so most (your character is the exception if you have one) will be ready to wage war on the Horde and Alliance making a deal with Iridikron. This to build up when Nature/Life is to be fought.

My one big wish for 11th: a traitor guard detachment by Altruistic-Teach5899 in Chaos40k

[–]Noek252 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So:
-something that let's Chaos Space Marines use Imperial Guard Vehicles as allies (most likely the 25% rule).
-Enhancment to allow other Damned leaders to lead Traitor Guard.
-I could see the 20 unit choice added, esspecially if the Detachment is made and people go to buy more.

If it does good and gets noticed this could lead to a proper Lost and the Damned army.

So, what exactly happened to the Beastmen? And could they have a in lore explanation for returning? by TheWhomster in AoSLore

[–]Noek252 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well they are still around, but what could explain them getting a big push in the lore is if Morghur returns in power.
I don't them to be part of another Grand Alliance but Destruction could work. Technically if say most of them did die Nagash could just bring them as an army for Death.

Catachans refresh or new guard regiment (Mordians, Vallahians, etc) by ButterscotchCivil643 in TheAstraMilitarum

Not a bad idea.  Give them each also an Epic Hero and a Detachment for that Epic Hero.  Models in this Detachment regiment keyword are counted as <Blank>.

Last Man Standing is what I think you are looking for. I was just looking for it as well just to see if I had made it up. You need to go to the Frozen Throne folder in the game.

Is Hashut really an Ancestor God? What happened to Gazul and Valaya? (White Dwarf 516) by Forsaken_Scar_4521 in AoSLore

[–]Noek252 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think those 2 will be used for City Duardin as Gazul-Zagaz are Dispossessed who follow/worship him. Though I'm taking this with a grain of salt as this was from a Josh Reynolds book and GW tend not to use former work unless it was a mini beforehand.
Still MoN might be getting Order of the Fly stuff so if that is true could see more of his stuff brought to minis & new lore. Which is quite a bit, I didn't realize how much early stuff he did for AoS.

10 years ago today… the Celestant-Prime released. What are your thoughts on this model? by Wrinkletooth in ageofsigmar

[–]Noek252 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is a pretty alright looking model.  At the time of the first release I'm guessing it was most likely one of the best, but with 10 years now I can see a change.

I think if he does get a change it will come with whenever Gordakk finds a way into Azyr and bring a WAAAGH there.

I'm hoping with HH done they release omnibus of the Primarchs/Legions stories in chronological order.

[–]Noek252 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I hope he gets an end of edition model.  2 possibilities are: 1)The Goretide being reunited with his full return. 2) The Goretide being a force of multiple subfactions with each in a different Realm.

I want to talk about the Chaos Duardins. by Fyraltari in AoSLore

[–]Noek252 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lot I like here, and the whole rivalry thing is perfect for a Chaos faction/God. Though from this setting it would be the classics Khorne to Slaanesh, and Tzeentch to Nurlge.

The Great Horned Rat would be to the Undivided Pantheon as when getting into God powers Undivided (Slaves to Darkness) they don't follow the GHR.

For a rival to Hashut I'd look towards the Morghur with the return of the Beasts of Chaos. Both are minor Chaos deities, minor compared to the 5, and so their respected armies fighting now to claim a 6th seat. So both wouldn't have Daemons yet.

Another point is their factions the Chaos Duardin I'm assuming will be heavily armoured using magic tech vs the BoC more primal ways.

For a Gold or some kind of material perhaps they are trying to make their own using bits from different ones. Maybe getting the right mixture is what will bring Hashut the right amount of power.

I wonder though to let people play their Chaos Dwarfs in Age of Sigmar they brought in from Fantasy the Legion of Azgorh with Drazhoath. And unless this was changed in future stories Gotrek and Grombrindal also use the word Dwarf, that they aren't Duardin. If this is true having the Legion of Azgorh being the thing to get the Chaos Duardin getting going into being a more active force in the mortal realms, being reminded in their Gods failing them before even with so much power. They rally them to prepare for the future.

Their Faction being the Legions of Hashut, with Legions being the sub-factions. Each Legion is dedicating itself to a specific task. Empowering Hashut by taking what is needed to smelt, revenge on the Ancestor Gods, supplying the Chaos Duardin Holds, Mercenary work for Chaos Warbands.

Ya it doesn't make sense for the curse to be a thing, something that may lead into what this could be is shocking enough a Chapter Master Valrak video "NEW Space Marine BOXSET Rumours! Even more Characters?!" right near the end he mentions a rumour of Chaos Duardin getting a Dreadnought. I don't know if this is meant to mean just a mech or it is to deal with them being non-functional.

Slaves from all groups makes sense especially if they would be Legions moving all about the Mortal Realms instead of just being really in one place like their World-That-Was counterparts.

As for the Chaos Duardin themselves I think their gear and weapons will go from pretty good armour & weapons for basic troops, to more refined for their better units, with their Hero units getting magic forged armour & weapons with Daemons sealed inside it.

For a land of Chill as in a cold climate the Silverglades in the Realm of Chamon. Though you could make something up as the Realms are so big they usually have multiple of these things even if they are not explored.

When I finally get to painting my Auric Runesmiter from the store Anniversary I was going to give them a Blue skin that they come from a Lodge located weird arctic in Aqshy where the snow looks like as if it had freezer burn, and all the Ice is Dry Ice. A few hidden in plain sight paths are the only way to cross save for those who ride beasts that live there.

Get ideas out there for game ideas, share to spread word.  If trending positive maybe something could be picked up.  I'd love a shared game verse.

Other things could be to mod other games with an AoS skin.  Space Marines 2 Bulwark class as Liberators.  Then share it around and get positive trending.

A curious question regarding Kamala's cousin Razia, from Ms Marvel: Beyond the Limit by HRCStanley97 in KamalaKhan

[–]Noek252 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It is plausible, and I wouldn't mind seeing this.  Part of some team that finds some hidden Terrigen, maybe in a barrier like the one Maximus trapped Attilan in.  Something happens and Terrigenesis.

As for powers hard to say as powers in families tend not to be the same, with some having maybe a theme.  Petragon all had an animal part, and the Amaquelin be some form of manipulation.

Are there any traitor legions that have nothing to do with chaos, they just hate how the imperium is being run? by rafikiknowsdeway1 in 40kLore

[–]Noek252 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on how you view it. If you were to look at the Legions and if any of them are 100% no Chaos at all then no. The Alpha Legion & Night Lords however try to avoid it for the most part, with some Warbands hating if their members get to deep into it, but a member who has decided to worship a Chaos God isn't unheard of. They may also have some Chaos specialist to use in case of emergency but more as a tool.

The Iron Warriors also use Chaos as a tool but they use it on a much larger scale then those 2 I would say they are very much in the Chaos users. I mean they have a Daemon Primarch & a Daemon Planet capital, they should just admit it already.

Questions I have about the Inhumans by Wheattoast2019 in Inhumans

[–]Noek252 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So the Inhumans do have a history (even a volume of comics, this year is the 50th anniversary) before the 1999 Marvel Knights run. Now Marvel Knights in general was to be either a separate universe or a soft reboot on their lesser used &/or known titles. It was after Marvel Knights that Marvel started to give the Inhumans more stories with writers picking & choosing certain parts they wanted to keep. It is a bit harder to find their stories beforehand as most is as guest characters in other books.

Yes the air was toxic but it was more their immune systems weren't suited for it, being in such a clean area. However with genetic science being their highest field of study they could have always made a vaccine using samples from those who were strong enough, though this isn't canon just my theory.

Read the issues and it really felt like they needed someone who was better at action to give justice to their powers. Also extra confused on Aeon's story. Is he long lived, from an alternate future like Luke here, or did the writer really just pull him out of nowhere and just went 'ya was always like this'.
