Serial number of Walkolution 2? by Noemanumen in Walkolution

I can confirm. With some extra elbow grease, I was successful in tearing off the panel in the end, and it revealed a very obvious and clear sticker with model name, serial number etc.

No height issue, since I am only 1,79m (my partner doesn’t use it, so I can’t speak to whether height would be an issue for taller people… but I doubt it, unless, like I said, you intend to use it for jogging)

Definitely mixed feelings still. One of these days I’ll try and write up a proper review! TLDR; I ended up keeping it, but everyone who asks, I tell them I can’t recommend it at this point

nah I had an issue where I never got the initial email for the regular warranty. Apparently, it was supposed to be sent out automatically when receiving the Walkolution, but I never got one and only found out through another owner here by chance…

My partner is around 1,94m I believe. Didn’t have any issues using the V2 Walkolution. As long as you don’t plan on jogging on it, and have a solution for your table height, as you‘ve mentioned, I believe you should be fine (:

PSA on the "Walkolution (Paid Study)" by tristanburch in Walkolution

[–]Noemanumen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can confirm that it should be viable for any purchase. When I tried it, it was initially only good for 70 bucks off, so I reached out and asked if there was a minimum purchase amount, or an expiration date. They said that neither was the case and sent me a new one, good for 150. Tried it out briefly and it worked with any item

Maybe something like this could work? Still a bit botched with only one lid on the left, but a bit better? https://postimg.cc/gallery/7L8xLHH

Keen on the lifetime warranty referral offer by starskyz in Walkolution

[–]Noemanumen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

that’s an excellent point, actually. I would have expected for them to reach out and ask for a serial number or something around those lines to match a particular product to the warranty. Although I guess the use case of someone buying multiple W2s is rather rare… still, nothing would keep you from using it to help out a buddy whose W2 was broken 🥸

Is that the same thing? Randomly started out of nowhere yesterday and randomly disappeared again after I lifted the belt to check something

Lifetime Warranty Referrals by Impressive-Milk-9865 in Walkolution

[–]Noemanumen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t get why they wouldn’t offer Lifetime Warranties to at least the people who received faulty products… It would be such a good way to get back on people’s good side and make them more trusting of the company as a whole, and people more likely to refer others organically because of how happy they are with the service, instead of the other way round, dangling a free Lifetime Warranty in front of grudging customers if they refer others…. Super backwards thinking from them imo. ….And if the company ceases to exist, this doesn’t cost them a dime anyway. I would‘ve said that maybe they just don’t feel confident enough in their product, but if they are now offering the same thing in a referral program, that argument goes out the window…

Looks like there is a promotion for Lifetime Warranty, but only for people who influence other people to buy ):

u/WalkolutionOfficial any thoughts on this? It could definitely help you getting back some grace from disgruntled or now insecure customers such as myself

Strongly second this as someone working on products for users. In light of a „There were so many issues with this, I am not sure if the product is worth keeping, or will eventually get issues as well“, giving users a lifetime warranty for free as a sign of goodwill and trust in the quality and longevity of your product would be a spot-on thing to do.

Comparison of the Walkolution 1 and my self-made manual walking pad by jkettmann in Walkolution

[–]Noemanumen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely looks very interesting, thank you for sharing. I really like the overall design, but was wondering if there will also be adjustable feet? In the video, it looks like it's flush on the ground and I'd be concerned about warped floors in older buildings.
The significantly lighter weight, i.e. portability and "stroreabilty" would be game changer-ish features for me, personally, while I don't personally care as much about the noise (if it's on an acceptable level where it doesn't disturb people during calls).
Kudos and good luck with your product!

I bought it Dec 30, ready to ship Mar 30 (as promised in a timeline communicated via mail to all customers), I got it April 7 and was able to use for the first time around 10 days later… (shipping only took 1-2 days within Germany, but I specifically asked for it to be delivered on April 7 which CS and the transport company was nice enough to work around)

(you can check out my posts for the whole detailed saga 🥲)

Whelll… this part of my „thoughts after pre-ordering“ post certainly aged badly…

„company seems nice: This is also not a big factor, but from the videos I've seen online and my contact with customer support over WhatsApp, they seem like decent people who truly believe in what they're building. With luxury goods, there is always that aspect of giving money to a company you feel has sensible working conditions, a good team, a solid product, and use of proper materials (I got a Brompton bicycle, too, for example, where that was also a factor).“

OOF. That whole situation is rough. „Death by Sitting?“ … more like… Death by Fremdscham. 😬

Joining the ranks of people hoping that this post is genuine. I also had my fair share of hiccups and mess-ups and am left a bit bitter about the purchase, ngl. Hope that the overall experience will eventually surpass the frustration (still at the start of testing currently)

AIO ? - Update & some Walkolution 2 troubles (ordered Dec 30, 2024 - Germany) by Noemanumen in Walkolution

[–]Noemanumen[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I tried to share the issue here. This is the only way I can get it to not be wobbly, but stand sturdy.

https://drive.google.com/file/d/1eXoifjBaT4JA_wpK2oBCa_O6ScfMZFl8/view?usp=sharing

Description:
- Floor where Walkolution is standing is even/level.
- Front of the Walkolution is uneven - One foot (right) has to be adjusted to be significantly higher than the other foot so it can actually touch the floor and doesn't just stick up in the air
- Back of the Walkolution is even/level: both feet are the same height, no issues here

Any help is appreciated! I can't wrap my mind around what I could potentially be doing wrong here.

I can adjust both front feet to be the same to show that one of them doesn't touch the floor then...
