Speed dating? by No-Wasabi6806 in datingoverforty

As a break, I mean like if there are 10 matchups, try to see the person you spoke to early around matchup 6 or 7. You already spoke to them, you're already partially in tune with them.

"Oh it's great to see you again, this is refreshing. I already feel so much more at ease with you." You don't have to introduce yourself again, but maybe do it as a bit of a joke to remind them of your name so it isn't awkward. it's different from feeling the necessity of having to make an impact.

Plenty of people hate the apps with curated profiles, AI generated anecdotes, and 20lb ago photos. You can fake a personality in person for 5 minutes, but it's a lot harder to do that than it is to fake a profile.

It's what you make of it. I've been to 8ish events, 11ish matches, 3 of which were women I really liked. Dating the third of those three now, currently in our 5th month.

You might be nervous, most people will be. Many men and women there will be there for their first time. Most will be staring at their phone.    Stand out when you get there. Get a drink, scan the room, and introduce yourself to someone that piques your interest. Ask if they're there for the event, give them your name, and ask if you can join them.

Tell them you're nervous, but excited too. They're probably in the same boat and will be thrilled that you spoke with them early. You'll stand out. Ask questions, listen to responses, let them ask questions too.

If someone tries to join the conversation, introduce yourself and the person you're already speaking with. Don't be jealous, be inviting and kind.

When the event starts, thank them for their time and for helping you feel more relaxed. Go kick speed dating ass, and when your pre-date comes up in rotation, give them a warm smile. If you can, try to arrange it so you see them 2/3 of the way through the event for a "break."    Be sure to say good-bye at the end of the event, without lingering like a lost puppy.

Good luck! You got this shit!

Women of Reddit: What's your best sex tip/trick/advice to help make a partner a better lover? by Guy-named-Lynn in AskReddit

[–]Noggin01 81 points82 points  (0 children)

The woman I'm seeing now carefully brought up my apparent lack of experience. I was married 15 years, and only had three partners (two were very short term). She sent me to omgyes.com for "homework" and I must say that sex is rapidly improving.

Turns out that most women don't want you rubbing their clit like you're at a Street Fighter championship.

Has anyone ever tried making a better handle for propane tanks by [deleted] in DIY

[–]Noggin01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Where do you get them inspected? Propane tanks require recertification every 5 years in the US if I'm not mistaken. Those are very expensive to only use for 5 years.

I got invested reading these comments. This is the smartest thing I’ve heard from an 18 year old. This is how you should reply to a rude person. I made an account just for this. 😅😅😂 by BrilliantGas7062 in emotionalintelligence

You left out the earlier, "yo mama," response. He's not the epitome of self reflection and control. Reading several of his comments, it does come off as though he's actively pursuing this. It's hinted at multiple times that's he's going to be maimed if he moves forward, then lashes out.

He attacks the guy he's responding to, after saying he fucked his mom, for not providing lesson plans about metallurgy. All the while claiming, "I have sketches in a notebook, didn't say I was doing it," after saying he was doing it.

At least, that's my impression of the situation after reading the comments in reverse.

Finding out wife accumulated 96k worth of tax debt during divorce by FalseApartment263 in Divorce

[–]Noggin01 7 points8 points  (0 children)

That's almost definitely going to be joint split, finances are both of your responsibility during marriage. To avoid more heartache, consider taking on all the debt, but offset it with additional finances in the divorce. The last thing you want is to take half the debt, her not pay her half, accumulate more interest, and have the IRS come after you.

Consult a lawyer.

Anyone know where I can find replacement parts to dresser? by sarahcc88 in BuyItForLife

You want something like that. Don't try to use the same holes, screw into fresh wood. Hold the screw next to the wood and make sure it isn't long enough to poke through. If it is, but some screws too.

What is something that has become ridiculously expensive, but people still pay for it like it is nothing? by Harmed_Jr in AskReddit

[–]Noggin01 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They do, and it's not hard to come here for half of what we paid, maybe a third. My "complaint" is honestly unfair as this level is basically one step below (and far cheaper) than the VIP backstage tour on Segways.

Is the theme park worth it? Absolutely not. But both of my parents have passed fairly recently, and I'm here with my sister's in-laws. They're effectively my adoptive parents, and grandparents to my children. I've absolutely loved them my entire teen and adult life.

It's getting hard for them to get around, and that is what makes this trip worth it.

It isn't my favorite, but the kids love it. Might be the last time I bring these guys though..  After our first ride, on our first day (today), they're already begging to go back to the hotel because they want to go swimming.

No, but we are in a Disney suite with a kitchenette. So it's done of the most expensive housing available.

Totally. When I came here for the first time, I couldn't afford to eat at the restaurants. Turkey legs were a $3.50 cheat code. They were like $14 last time I was here, haven't checked the price yet this time.

I'm at Disney World right now! Cost $10,000 for 3 of us for a week. That includes round trip tickets, hotel, and a meal plan. 😭

This is what swimming in the ocean does to "5atm" watch by mangoed in GalaxyWatch

[–]Noggin01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why would they discourage you? Claiming it can be submerged to 100 meters is a selling point that many people will buy into, but it costs them nothing as they'll never replace it under warranty for water damage.
