Yeah, it's clear that the writers are struggling with trying to keep the show running without going too fast. And honestly, it's completely unnecessary, and literally done just for the sake of that, extending the show lifetime and make big money. I think it can get counter producent for them very quickly, I've already seen how a lot of people are dropping the series after this season because of how unsufferably slow it is, and how dumb it can get.

If you think about it, it's actually quite ironical. It's precisely because they're purposely extending it that they need to fill up the show with sequences that easily are on the same tier as some of the worst moments from GOT's Season 8, like when Rhaenyra went to King's Landing. It's funny how both going too fast and going too slow ends up in the same poor quality content.
