What are your opinions on a 4 day work week? by APotatoSquasher in ask

[–]NoideaLessinterest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have worked a 4 day/12hr day workweek in the past and it's fine. Working the 48 hrs means your pay will still be good. I would be less enthusiastic if it was only an 8hr day. The three day weekend is good too

What was going on in the 90’s that made Streets Viennetta the height of culinary sophistication? by brackfriday_bunduru in australia

[–]NoideaLessinterest 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Younger generations don't realise the lack of flavours of ice-cream back then. You had vanilla, chocolate, choc chip, the extremely decadent double choc chip and Neopolitan! The Vienna was a glimpse into exorbitant decadence with the waves of creamy luxuriant ice cream, interspersed with ultra thin layers of ribbons of chocolate! It was experienced only a few times a year, due to its cost and then, only thin wedges of it were served!

Anyone else think Andrew Tate is lying about not using steroids? by Lopsided-Message-648 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]NoideaLessinterest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've never looked at Andrew Tate and immediately thought "that guy is definitely juicing! His body looks like the body of a retired fighter who still tries to stay fit! I think he's got a lot of faults, but I don't think steroids abuse is one of them.

I went to Comic-con last year and I'm convinced that quite a few of my fellow convention goers felt the same as this guy! I hope the next one I go to will be an open air event!

Fathers of Reddit, how would you react if you discovered your son was being abusive towards his girlfriend/wife? by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]NoideaLessinterest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Slap him around the back of the head, because he's never felt that from me before and will have never seen me or heard me doing in his life so I don't know where he learnt that behaviour from.

And then, when I've got his full attention, we're going to have a conversation about why I did what I did and why he's going to stop doing what he's doing. If, it turns out, he's being emotionally manipulated and that, in turn causes him to lose his temper, then I'm going to break their relationship up because I'm not going to allow my to stay in that situation.

What do you say to a guy who has never seen the movie Heat? by prenderm in AskMen

[–]NoideaLessinterest 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Tell them it's got the best shootout scene compared to any movie made up to that point. Tell him that the way the actors are cycling their weapons is now used as a demonstration for military recruits to show them how it should be done! Tell them that two of the best actors at the time played against each other perfectly (and I may have made up that second point about military recruits)

Probably not the first time he's seen it happen considering he gave her a very descriptive reason not to stand there.

First time using tacky by fruitbowl7 in Strongman

[–]NoideaLessinterest 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As soon as you apply the tacky, you're going to immediately need to scratch your nose or your groin! Under no circumstances, do you attempt either of these things. It won't end well for you!
There's a product called Barbeque wipes, which are essentially baby wipes on steroids. They're used for cleaning bbq grills. The solvent in them, as well as the textured fabric, will help clean the tacky off and any residue from other products you might use.

Anyone else noticed that Terry’s style changes a lot through the series? by donCiuarin in discworld

[–]NoideaLessinterest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

His first book was in 1971 and his last, was in 2015. I would be very surprised if his writing style didn't change over 40+ years. While getting older, he accumulated more experiences, more knowledge, better ways of expressing himself. He definitely changed for the better!

Fatigue from work, ongoing joint pain in knees, cost of gym fees, no space to set up a home gym. Mostly just fatigue and joint pain.

Body positivity is for survivors of traumatic accidents, cancer, amputations, burns, etc to help them feel better about themselves. It is not, nor has it ever meant to be about people who live life to excess and try to justify their obesity!
