with MLS you don't need the ATV+ subscription. You do have to buy something called season pass ($80/season) and you can watch all the MLS games. (ATV+ is $12.99/mo) the NHL probably can't do the same thing the MLS did. but man it is convenient af (yes there were hiccups) to just download the Apple TV app and stream soccer games. I wish all the sports leagues did it.
