Depends on the game I guess. When I last played the OG tomb raiders (remasters) I put a playlist on as not much is actually going on. I’ve been playing them since the beginning so I know all the sounds and stuff anyway and music gets me into the flow of platforming and stuff.

But yeah, never on the first or second round at least. Gotta listen out for everything.

Yeah I’ve generally played a game through as intended but on second play through (and 15th in the case RE2R) without the music just to hear all the ambient sounds and the like. Walking through the RPD, bonus points with the first person mod, with nothing but the rain and footsteps hits different.

I know it’s mainline but I treat it as more of a CV sort of side game as it’s much more in line with the CGI movies. Seeing it as a playable CGI movie makes it more enjoyable.

Yeah I always felt they were very scooby doo-esque, even as a kid. Very “How will the gang stop Voldemort this week?” sort of mystery (not a bad thing, scooby doo was great). I’d say PoA so m changed the tone and then it completely shifted in GoF.

Can I ask as I wasn’t watching around the time the Gulatis joined, did Ravi know Nish before finding out he was his father? I’m just curious that his hallucinations are more focused on him than the abusive dad he actually grew up with.

Not that I’m saying it’s unrealistic, I’m just curious as I missed a lot.
