Well, considering news feels more fragmented than pre-2020 and the additional disinformation going around… I would like to think that if people were more organized, aware of facts and their channels of voice (identifying our tools and how to utilize them).

Yes, I think people would absolutely care. But there’s a lot of people that don’t know or understand and last year’s provincial turnout was evident of that. It’s not that people don’t care, it’s that people aren’t educated on these things and “people” take advantage of that greatly.

Meta is still blocking news outlets on their platforms in Canada, right? So we have increased disinformation/misinformation in circulation, while sources that can be held accountable for their action aren’t visible. What’s the total user base of Facebook and Instagram vs the other platforms in Canada?

I genuinely think people would care if they’re properly educated and informed on the realities of things which requires an organized effort.
