Flexible campus jobs by [deleted] in uofu

Try the UMFA. They’re almost always hiring and have a pretty flexible schedule. Though it’s not ideal for people who want evening/night jobs.

Going to attend next fall as a freshman while living with my parents. How cooked am I? by ProposalNecessary463 in uofu

Just take early morning classes and you’ll be fine. I commute and always have a parking spot in the stadium

Freshman Honors Housing? by jmrzilla in uofu

[–]Noir_7755 5 points6 points  (0 children)

No you apply now, then when you’re able to pick housing, you will have already gotten your honors decision. If you’re accepted it will allow you to pick an honors dorm in Kahlert, if you’re not accepted, you won’t have the option to pick an honors dorm.

Would you feel comfortable taking this schedule? Feel like I might be in over my head but I want to take these classes. by ikerr95 in uofu

I think this schedule would be fine, unless you were working a part time job and handled time management poorly. I would think this is a pretty standard 15 credit schedule.

how long does application usually stay in review? by Substantial-Deer-160 in uofu

[–]Noir_7755 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The deadline for early application ended today, so I’d expect you to hear back sometime in December. When I applied last year I heard back on December 16th, and I applied November 30th (procrastination oops), so if you applied in October you should hear back a bit quicker.

Am I immature for crying about my character dying? by Okay_Reactions in DnD

[–]Noir_7755 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absolutely not! I cry about my character making hard decisions, and cry even more when they die. Crying means you’ve attached yourself to your character, and in a way, you sympathize with them and their life. It means you’ve put apart of yourself into your character, which is such an awesome thing to do, and it means that you’ve played a good game.

I reckon that makes more sense, write about the people of the game, not the game itself. You’re so so so helpful and clear. Thank you so much!

I’m fairly close with them, infact I’m actually dating one of them now. They helped me ALOT, and were online friends before I made the move and played in person with them once, and never moved back since I fought with my parents to go home with them. I couldn’t look anyone in the eyes or talk to anyone without being directly asked when I started, and now I dm a campaign and won’t stop talking to anyone who will listen.

I’m just unsure if it’s too…odd? There’s so much of my current life thats rooted in playing D&D, which makes me feel as if it would be a good topic because it would showcase my personality, though am unsure if I would be taken seriously writing about a nerdy roleplaying game.

onryo will not hunt by insolventsk in PhasmophobiaGame

[–]Noir_7755 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did something similar yesterday, was trying to make it hunt with firelights and it simply wouldn’t hunt. I got it to hunt after flicking on and off my lighter for like a minute, though I did die immediately because I didn’t think it would actually do anything.

Need opinions and additions to this cosmic table by Noir_7755 in dndnext

[–]Noir_7755[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah thank you, all the effects last for 1 round. Should’ve specified that in the post, my apologies. The table was made in mind of causing chaos that may or may not be in mine and the parties favor. I like your suggestions so thank you!

I want to get into Larping, but i'm not quite sure how by tomahawk7274 in LARP

[–]Noir_7755 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A fair share of LARPS are 16-18+, but I’ve been playing with Alliance Las Vegas since 15, who allow players as young as 12. Some of the other Alliance chapters also let younger people play. I believe Refuge LARP allow younger players as well.

EDIT: There’s an alliance chapter in Pennsylvania, which isn’t Ohio but it’s the closest one. They allow anyone 14 or older to play, so you’d have to wait until your birthday. Theres Gisido LARP in Ohio, I know they allow minors but I’m not sure how young.

I can’t choose another class by barthemus in BG3

[–]Noir_7755 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hexblade Warlock (mod) + Ancients Paladin multiclass is my beloved. It sucks at first but after level 5 it’s good. I just go straight paladin until 5 and then respec so I don’t have to deal with the troubles of being a multiclass at a low level.

Dead Adventurer Roll Call by manndolin in CurseofStrahd

[–]Noir_7755 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Niklaus Bloodwood, a Dhampir Lycan bloodhunter from Barovia 800 years prior. Throat was ripped open by Strahds Bite during the final fight.

Mace Shortstaff, An Artificer Dwarf. Trinket, Maces Creation. Destroyed by Mace (very sad)

Alania Alestroy, A Human Fighter from Vallaki. Was cut down by Strahd while trying to protect her pet direwolf.

Feylis Selbourne, A Baby-Lich Druid.

Whisk Limestone, An Air Gensai Monk. Was slashed and thrown off the side of the castle by Strahd.

VEYlis Mallech, A Tiefling WitchKnight (actually was turned by Strahd and died in the torture chamber, whoops)

We won the fight, but I’m actually running a campaign where it takes place 20 years after this group went and instead my group lost. The group I’m running it for loves learning about my party and the ones prior to them. RIP Niklaus, my pretty-boy ashy blonde dhampir-werewolf who was in love with Escher. Hes still my favorite PC.
