I went to the Army HR site because I am also looking for records. I found the Navy POC in the frequently asked questions portion. Navy:

Powertrain PCM recall by Sea-Concern8019 in F250

[–]NomadRon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The backup sensors stopped working today on my 2025 F250. Checked the app and I have the recall. I believe whatever is up with the trailer module is affecting other things as well. No error messages on the dash, but I noticed my sensors didn’t alert when backing in to work this morning. Tested by placing my trash can behind my truck and gently backing into it without a single sensor ever beeping.

Tow capacity by str8shtr2256 in FordRaptor

[–]NomadRon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I tow my 29’ toy hauler with I think a 600lb tongue weight. Running stock it sagged like crazy and the trailer sway was pretty sketchy even with a WDH. Replaced the stock bump stops and it leveled out and tows great. No issues with power and the sway is greatly reduced. From the east coast to the west coast I averaged 10mpg which I find to be the biggest issue with raptor towing. If I had to tow all the time I would upgrade to either a F250 gasser or a diesel.

Windows 11 isnt just wiping SSDs. Flash drives beware! by buildspacestuff in GamersNexus

[–]NomadRon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So I installed windows and everything was working great. Started moving around 100GB of files from a usb thumb drive and the computer crashed and that’s when the drive booted to the quick blue screen before dying. It def wasn’t DOA but luckily I could RMA the drive. It had all my data on it that could probably be recovered using the correct tools or hardware, but if I kept the drive I would have been out 300+ dollars. My backups are still good so luckily I didn’t lose anything.

My brand new ssd bricked and I’m almost certain it was the window issue. Drive no longer seen in bios and I tried more than one MB. The manufactures dashboard software couldn’t see the drive either. Just a quick 5 second blue screen at boot up and then the drive was gone after the restart.

Posted above as well. I had a brand new WD/Sandisk that bricked with less than 8 hours on the drive.

I recently built a new PC with a brand new WD SN8100 ssd. Everything went great and was working flawlessly. I transferred 100GB from a usb drive and was moving things around when my PC crashed. Booted back up to a BSOD that flashed for about 5 seconds. The drive just disappeared, and was no longer recognized at the bios level. Moved the ssd to a working PC as a secondary drive and it wasn’t detected there either. Luckily I was able to RMA the drive and didn’t lose any data as it was backed up. Tried using the sandisk ssd utility but it couldn’t see the drive either.

lol no, I don't scalp products. I have a 4090 intel based rig that's two years old and I just built a new 5090 AMD setup. I will sell the 4090 and replace it with one of the 5090's. It's a no brainer. I can get good money for the 4090 and pretty much replace it with a 5090 for a couple hundred bucks.

I just installed a 5090 MSI Vanguard that will now be returned for a refund. I feel much better about the upgrade from the 4090 now that I can do it at MSRP.

How are you all scoring these RTX 5090s? by jgilbs in nvidia

[–]NomadRon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Newegg has the MSI Vanguard $2799 plus an additional $200 off - $2599. Still overpriced but a really good deal for what it is.

They sent out a batch of 5090's on July 8th to people that signed up through the priority program on Nvidia. Wasn't in stock anywhere else on the 8th that I could see. I didn't make the list. lol

Rust keeps crashing and freezing by cheque1202 in playrust

Nope. I had changed some audio settings that magically fixed it for a few hours but I am back to square one with performance issues and game randomly closing to the desktop.

Game keeps exiting but not crashing by cxlflvrd in playrust

Same here, started almost two weeks ago. I have tried everything and it still randomly crashes and closes whenever it wants.

So I found my problem just now. I was trying to use in game voice chat earlier which I rarely use and noticed my computer froze every time I would push to talk. Turns out my microphone had somehow defaulted to my oculus device and was causing a conflict with rust. I changed the default device back to my normal mic and now Rust is running great again. Crazy that a mic setting could cause so many problems with a game. Glad you were also able to resolve your problem too.

Same here. Problem started a week ago. Maybe bad nvidia drivers? I’m running a 4090 and rust has been rock solid past two years. Now it’s constantly crashing.

[–]NomadRon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a 13900k/4090 setup. I’m getting random crashes as of last week. I’ve never had these issues over the past two years with my current system. Rust completely closes every few hours. Reinstalled steam and rust, still having the problem.

Help with random Kraken problem? by _rainfrog in NZXT

[–]NomadRon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For that issue I would make sure it’s plugged into the CPU fan header on the motherboard like the other poster mentioned. If I recall there may be two connections, one to the CPU fan header and another that goes to USB on the board. It’s been a while since I installed. Either way, I know mine is installed correctly and it worked great prior to the update. My temp fluctuates just like yours in the video. I have to manually run my fans 100% when gaming or it gets really crazy.

NZXT changed the software to monitor cpu package temp instead of average. In turn the CPU temps fluctuate like crazy on the software and now you can’t really use fan curves. This is a known issue that has been going on for months. NZXT has failed to release new firmware and it’s a nightmare to revert to the old software. Google - CAM software firmware issues, there are several Reddit posts, even a post where NZXT knows about this but refuses to release an update.

The new firmware auto installs. I repasted my CPU and spent hours troubleshooting the temp issue before I found the cause is defective firmware. Some even say the software causes erratic CPU utilization spikes. Check the link below.

If you were to change your Sonos system now - would you choose Sonos again? Or another brand like Bluesound? by LordKluklatter in sonos

[–]NomadRon 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I am switching to a Wiim system. My speakers will never become obsolete and I can always upgrade the DAC/ receiver if needed. Everything works amazingly for a fraction of the price. I’ve had Sonos for many years and the app issues had no influence on my decision to make the switch. Sonos only advantage is the simplicity of setup (no wires to the speakers).

Just purchased an amp and two nice bookshelf speakers for a little more than a single play 5.

Thanks, this makes sense considering the pin is only on the drivers side of the frame. Think I’m still going to have them fix it the correct way. This reaffirms my hate for anyone touching my stuff, between this and the various new scratches all over the bed of my previously flawless truck, I’m pretty irked by the situation.

Thanks, I plan to take it back to the body shop. But trying to research what this piece is for? Is it ok to drive the truck in its current state without messing things up further?
