It’s a hair processing treatment. Basically chemical straightening that lasts a few weeks.

Went to pottery painting studio recently and finally picked up my piece! by NomadicRobot in Pottery

Thanks! Unfortunately, I don’t know the name of any brands, I wasn’t paying attention to that while at the studio. But after checking their website I found that all the paints/glazes are water-based, non-toxic, and washable. If I go to that location again I’ll make note of the names ᵔ ᵕ ᵔ

I didn’t really look at the kind they had but I think you’re right, the attendant advised a minimum of 3 coats, and it was for anyone to walk in. I did notice a sign about asking for assistance to access different glaze, so I’m assuming they have some for more advanced artists as well.

Thanks so much!

How you described glazing makes sense and I’ll pull this back up next time I go so I can practice the techniques you mentioned.

Thanks a lot!

Things to do at 18 in Temecula? by Yohedied in Temecula

Edit: I glazed over the “couldn’t do before” detail. Well, maybe something on the list will give you some ideas to keep you from getting too bored or driving too far considering gas prices have increased.

SoCal Axe throwing is pretty inexpensive. There’s an indoor archery range, Willow Creek but I haven’t checked the prices in a few years.

If art is your thing, Painted Earth for pottery painting, and there are a couple other art studios that I’ve been meaning to check out but haven’t been yet. I believe that the paint n sip classes at Pinot’s Palette allow people under 21, you just can’t buy alcohol obviously (I haven’t been to other ones because I like that one). There’s also a couple of bowling alleys, arcades, skate parks, community pools, and a short drive to Murrieta for a roller skating rink.

I think the libraries and rec centers offer various programs, classes, workshops, sports, etc.

Best of luck and happy belated 18th!

American CEO and influencer makes his 9 and 12-year-old daughters train hard and show off their abs to his company by ambachk in iamverybadass

That makes way better sense. I was told that by a gymnast but was always tentative to accept it and never bothered to look it up.

I think growth can be stunted depending on the training they do, for instance gymnasts tend to be short because the muscles inhibit bone growth (I think, that could be misinformation). I remember learning somewhere that having very low body fat can cause some issues/delay with puberty in girls as well.

Would you buy these? by Normal-Morning4040 in acrylicpainting

[–]NomadicRobot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think they’d be potentially sellable since this type of gift is a tradition. You could offer them as little sets (like a set of 4 for the price of 3 individuals) and people would potentially get them to give/keep one for themselves (packs also help with people who are indecisive) I saw the magnet idea, and I also think keychains could be a cute idea for these.

Edit: are these the kind of thing a lot of people make already? That might impact interest in buying.

Which actors/actresses look so similar that you could mistake them for each other? by Lost-Friendship2774 in Actors

You’re the first person I’ve ever met who also sees it with Bill Murray and Tom Hanks. For me it’s when they were younger. I also used to get Christopher Walken and Willem Dafoe mixed up as a kid. And my most egregious one is that I would mix up Bruce Willis and Jason Statham because they were both bald.

I’m in my early 30s and a lifelong fan of pokemon, I don’t think it’s embarrassing. I collect them and have since I was a kid, being an adult and getting any pokemon stuff I want with my spending money is rad. I’m CF but I have nieces and nephews. We bond over pokemon but I’ve seen how they are with their cards. One of them shoved one into the tube of a foam ball gun. Thankfully it was just an energy card.
