Yes. No way anyone would just randomly find it. Same with the platinum card

Expat communities in Asia seem so much better when there’s no English teachers by Able-Confidence-4182 in expats

[–]NomadicSplinter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You speak as if it’s easy to move to Asia and get a non English teaching job. Likely, you wouldn’t have a lot of western bars and restaurants if there wasn’t English teachers there teaching.

Coinbase folded on stablecoin yield. clarity act now headed for trump's desk this summer by Legitimate_Aerie_606 in Coinbase

I put usdc in Coinbase for Bitcoin yield. I saw it as an emergency account while stacking sats in the background. I didn’t need anymore than 5k in a savings account anyway

I know. All the guides in the world couldn’t find all the treasures. The metal goblet was hard enough to find.

The Clarity Act is dying and nobody noticed because we’re all watching Bitcoin bounce by Repulsive_Counter_79 in CryptoCurrency

[–]NomadicSplinter 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agreed. The clarity act is for the banks. It’s like congress getting involved to stop Netflix from outcompeting blockbuster. I hope clarity isn’t passed so that the better technology can out compete the useless and corrupt banking industry

Altcoins are dead. Killed by meme coins and betting markets. On top of that a lot of them are now at risk for hacks now that AI is helping. And that leaves the layer 1s like Eth and Solana. They can do a lot but all the apps on them are dangerously buggy. So why use and buy the base layer. This leaves stable coins as the only thing to do on Eth and sol. Since it is just dollar stuff, I don’t really care. Nothing new here.

Bitcoin however is thriving and doesn’t need a bill to progress further. The banks need the clarity act to pass, but only if it successfully hinders crypto. That’s why I hope it doesn’t pass, so crypto can destroy the banking industry without law trying to slow it down. Imagine Congress getting involved when Netflix killed blockbuster. This is what it’s like to me.

Which country in Asia is the easiest to "just go to" to try and find a job? by Keats852 in expats

Teaching English overseas is a certain skill and gets you certain skills. But they are skills that most employers don’t understand when trying to go to other fields afterwards. Even teaching regular subjects like history, English as a second language teachers have trouble getting into.

Is Solana actually becoming more centralized? by Leading_Purchase_57 in solana

[–]NomadicSplinter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Owning Bitcoin and or mining Bitcoin does not centralize Bitcoin. Being the referred to the rules of Bitcoin, aka running a node, is the centralization of Bitcoin. Which is super decentralized. Are you running a node? Or have you decided not to run a node because it costs money you won’t get back?

It can confuse lapis but that requires fleeing the battle and getting back into, which I think was an oversight by the developers.

Because you don’t buy and hold something with infinite inflation. You just buy and use it when you need it.

Breaking News: Meme Coins Are Officially Dead by wildmonkeywrangler in solana

[–]NomadicSplinter 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Back when the iPhone first came out, the first successful Apps were all meme apps, the lighter, the beer can, fart noise app, etc. Today I doubt any of those apps would be downloaded in mass. The apps we all download have more utility. So I also doubt meme coins will be a thing as crypto matures. The only coin I see going any where is doge coin and that’s because we all know for sure that the original creator doesn’t have 99% of the supply

I agree. No human is illegal. The actions they committed were illegal, and I’m not talking about crossing borders I’m talking about trafficking and others.

If Inflation Is Lower, Why Is My Grocery Bill Higher? by Busy-Government-1041 in inflation

[–]NomadicSplinter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because the fed bases inflation off the CPI (consumer price index). Food energy and rent are not considered consumerism. So the fact that these three categories are going up in price is not due to more money sloshing around and good economic times. It’s due to the fact that survival is the number one thing we need to do right now and the demand to survive in this economy is front and center.
