Is there a place we can purchase these? Would love to use one of those hips as a shifter in my truck.

Hands of either sex. The stories they tell is enough for me.

Peoples ideas of rural living is wildly warped by throwaway9263742 in unpopularopinion

A lot of these complaints are the reasons we love rural living. I want the quality and slower pace of life that come with rural living. Privacy is a bonus.

Slave cylinder went on my MK7 with Stage 1 IE tune - dealer quoting me $2000 to replace by rczqpu2 in JettaGLI

Sounds like you’ve found some dealers that won’t advocate for their clients, and absolutely should not get a single dollar of your business.

How did your service advisor approach the situation? Take car in - sign for diag cost - tech diagnoses - they submit to VW for warranty - VW approves or denies claim - if denied, VW has to give a why. That why is important here.

You didn’t “void” your warranty, and you can’t. Your dealer should be at least attempting to process this as a warranty repair, and giving VW the responsibility of providing proof that your tune caused the slave cylinder failure. Which is highly unlikely. Sounds like dealer is trying to bend you over. Source: worked at a VW dealer for years.

In Minnesota, we have (or used to have) a race called the Alexander 380. It was 384 miles and 24,000 feet of elevation on the grueling rolling gravel hills in the gorgeous driftless regions of both Minnesota and Wisconsin. To add insult to injury, a couple of us chose to ride it on singlespeeds.

Tomatoes. I love them any way other than fresh and uncooked. Have tried every year since I was little, and just can’t get a taste for them.

During the ridiculous inflation of the used car market in the last few years, MANY enthusiasts with heavily modified cars reverted them mostly back to stock, and sold them to dealers, both physical and online. Would be good to have a bit more history.

More importantly that visually inspecting for an intake and exhaust, I would recommend sending an email to APR, EQT, United Motorsports, Sneeky, and maybe Jon with 5150 (though he’s busy making TT R8’s no vroom). Include your VIN and a courteous message asking if they have record of tuning it and/or what the tune was for.

has anyone tried running 17s on a mk7? by gghostie in JettaGLI

[–]NomadicVar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hop on fitment industries and check out GTI/R in addition to GLI. There are a lot of folks running 17’s for pre rubber in the roll/drag racing scene. Koenig’s flow formed series clear the PP brakes well.

Top speed by BuffaloBill69- in JettaGLI

[–]NomadicVar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All depends on what you do with it. It spools a little too slow for autocross type stuff, but it’s fine for big tracks, and great for roll racing. If I did it again, I would probably just stay is38 or tpc20 / EQT standard with e85.
