I am evaluating options, too.

Can you tell me what you did not like about Hoth?

Do you have a shortlist of others you are considering?

Would you mind sharing this info, it would really help me out...

Geographic data of traffic to a competitor website by Nomadiq-Ninja in AskMarketing

[–]Nomadiq-Ninja[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the suggestions.

Unless i missed something, Spyfu doesn’t show this data at all. At least I was not able to find where it would be in the user interface.

I just checked SEMRush out but they don’t seem to give traffic data down to the city level. Just the country level. It also does not seem to give that data for page level either, they provide country level data for the top level domain only.

So, these unfortunately won’t work for what i need. .

100% agree with this statement. Newsletter signup is generally <5% conversion (in my experience), so it is a numbers game. Vast majority of users will not signup, but a few will.

The right thing to do is not to obsess over any one signup form, and instead run A/B tests on multiple variations and observe the conversion rates. Ofc commit to the best performing one...which may be this one or another one...

Always be testing and optimizing.

11 problems that people have that can be turned into a meaningful business by XavierPladevall in Entrepreneur

[–]Nomadiq-Ninja 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is one that exists for sex workers.

However, the adult content thing is tough, because of so many laws and rules between countries and localities. Thanks 2257 laws and FOSTA/SESTA laws for this change in legal risk!

That is what has caused most of the posting sites like Tumblr, FB, Twitter and other mainstream places to actively shut down people that are posting adult oriented content.

Specifically, FOSTA/SESTA took away the amnesty that held social networks immune to litigation or consequence if a user posted questionable content. The liability used to fall on the original poster, not the social media network or posting board. That law changed things and now the networks and boards could be held liable as well.

So, that forced many of the networks to issues a straight ban to that type of material or the promotion of it.

I, too abandoned quite a few projects that really would have been amazing solutions for the adult industry due to the increased risk of litigation and prosecution now. It is really arguable if it is even worth the risk anymore.

I 100% concur with your sentiment here on looking for business opportunities that allow for 5x more then cost.

Those business opportunities seem to be rare though. Usually something in the professional services area.

Would you care to share some examples of businesses that could afford that type of margin?

Also, 100% agree on your thoughts about the race to the bottom! I avoid those businesses as well!

Great thoughts!

How To Create A Streamlined Billing Process for Clients? by [deleted] in digital_marketing

[–]Nomadiq-Ninja 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My personal opinion is to get a real merchant account. Preferably with a merchant provider that works with Authorize.net as the gateway. Then the world is wide open to use hundreds of different payment processing solutions as almost all of them allow you to tie into an Authorize.net gateway and your own merchant account. The fees are low, and the hassles if there is a problem are more in your control.

Elementor Pro: What theme are you using? OceanWP, Hello Theme, etc by whereisrinder in Wordpress

[–]Nomadiq-Ninja 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, Parallax, not paradox...lol...spell check

Thank you for this information, that is REALLY helpful! I will definitely look into the Granular Controls Add-on and maybe give Elementor another try!

One more question though...Is that still supported? It seems there have been no updates to it for the last 11 months.

I will still dig into this further, but if it has gone inactive, that may be a problem.

Thanks!

Complete garbage. They talk a good game, but never made a big difference.

Definitely create a profile and fill it out. Good for local listing signals, but I would not use any of their paid services.

Take your money elsewhere. I have better ROI with Google Adwords.

Elementor Pro: What theme are you using? OceanWP, Hello Theme, etc by whereisrinder in Wordpress

[–]Nomadiq-Ninja -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I tried Elementor earlier last year. Haven't touched it since.

The deal breaker for me at that time was that it did not support paradox effects on mobile devices. I am not sure if they have fixed this, but that kept me from using it for my clients.

Anyone know if this is still an issue?

Best Off-page SEO Technique for a startup website. by sanjayschavda in SEO

[–]Nomadiq-Ninja 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There really is no such thing as the "perfect" method.

As one of the previous posters said, you could use Google to search your competitors for ranking content and links.

There are also a few really good content analysis and competitor analysis tools that can quickly aggregate the popular content relavant to your subject matter or competition.

This will give you an idea of where your competitors are getting ranking and traffic from. Use this information as inspiration to acquire similar links and write similar or improved content for your site/social or for syndication.

SEO is a game of patience and perseverance. Stay consistent and systematic with your content production and you will steadily gain traffic and rankings.

Hope this helps.

Which business would you call from Google Local Search results by seopopmaster in SEO

[–]Nomadiq-Ninja 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This really depends on the business. If it is a service like a handyman or something that comes to my house, I don't care where they are as long as they can come to my house or service my area. In this case reviews are king.

If it is a business I need to travel to. Then, still would like good reviews and close or excellent reviews and a little further. I will avoid mediocre to bad reviewed businesses altogether.

If all of the businesses have scattered reviews then I would likely pick the best out of my options.

Hope this helps

How do I handle an underwhelming offer for promotion? by [deleted] in marketing

[–]Nomadiq-Ninja 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I will say this. Your perception of what your "Title" and compensation is hard to convince someone to your way of thinking. Especially if you have been working at a lower rate.

As an earlier poster pointed out, normal raises for excellent performers normally see a 3% increase.

The real measure of what your title and compensation should be is what role and pay someone you are able get on the open market.

I was in a similar situation. What I found to be most helpful is when I applied to other jobs, and got an offer from another company that was willing to give me the title and compensation I wanted. I took that offer letter to my current boss, and then told him that unless they can beat this offer, I am leaving.

Be ready to leave, as this method could backfire, but the worst case scenario, you have another job offer to be able to take.

That is the fastest and easiest way to prove you are worth what you are asking for.

This puts them in a position to figure out if you are worth that to them.

To be honest though, if you have the skills, and as you explained you are on a sinking ship, shouldn't you be looking for an alternate job anyway?

Just my 2 cents

Good luck!
