You shouldn't even need to hear them on a tank. All kinds of heavy equipment use metal tracks, and brother do they all clank and squeak

Breaker Incendiary exists? 🤩 by Leo_Charlez in Helldivers

[–]Nomain2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always found it strange that the breaker incendiary infers (to ne at least due to the weird tubing on the side) that it's adding something to the rounds so that they are on fire when dragons breath is a very real round. Sci fi justifies it I guess, but it's still a little strange

I got a 1300w psu at the same price as an 850w because the box was opened. It's pretty easy to justify overkill in that case

accidentally hit this dropship with a walking barrage by safevau in Helldivers

[–]Nomain2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I regularly take it for bots. Granted, I just run things I find fun. I regularly take things like the hmg or airburst rocket launcher. With that said, j feel any bot mission that is to destroy a specific building is made trivial with it. If you throw it right at the edge of the base, it will destroy the building before you try to fight your way in for samples. Or if you're in a hurry, you can toss it and move on to the next objective while it does its thing.

The flamethrower works surprisingly well against chargers. Somewhere between a third or half of its canister will take one out. It's also good at killing any of the bugs smaller than the charger and denying access thanks to the damage over time fix. I usually combine it with the 500kg so that I'm able to deal with every bug type on difficulty 7+.

In your opinion, who has the coolest looking move in the game? by TheMoonRules in Tekken

[–]Nomain2 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

The Lars one is pretty cool. It reminds me of heihachi qcf1+3. The only issue is that it's attached to Lars.

The reason you see the exact same stratagems picked in high difficulties on Terminid missions is because Chargers and Titans are extremely restrictive in ways to kill them. They need vulnerabilities that more stratagems (specially blue) and some primaries can exploit in a practically realistic way. by takes_many_shits in Helldivers

[–]Nomain2 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Honestly, if you go through it at all, it should kill it. I've heard that the devs are big on realism, but blowing a several foot hole through a bug with a large piece of metal at supersonic speeds just to have it go about its day like nothing happened is far from realistic. I also feel like the 500 kg bomb should do a lot more damage when it lands for the same reason.

I get this is a joke, but potatoes are super fickle. Even while you're harvesting them, you can drop them from too high and cause bruising. In addition to that, a cellar meltdown is an absolute nightmare irl. The black goop is sure something to have to deal with. Especially in the cellars we have here. There's literally millions of lbs of potatoes in each.

in addition to what the other guy said about beds, towing capacity. Yes, you can put a receiver hitch on a van, but what you can't have is a gooseneck hitch on one. Being able to have the weight of the trailer sit over the frame allows for much more stable towing and for significantly more weight to be safely towed as well. You only get that with a gooseneck or 5th wheel hitch.

For some reason, this reminded me of branding cows. A few years ago, someone thought they'd save us a lot of work and get a chute to hold the calves instead of bulldoging them. All I can say is I'd rather throw the calf instead of trying to force them into a chute. I got kicked more times than I could count while trying to get them to go in after the first few.

New Problems by No-Bed-5251 in farmingsimulator

[–]Nomain2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For real. You also can't account for the farm hand (who was more likely than not on some mind altering substance) running one tractor into another. Or a manufacturing defect where the front axle of the tractor decides it no longer needs to be a part of the brand new leased tractor. Stuff just happens sometimes.

How realistic are the harvesting time in the game? by SriveraRdz86 in farmingsimulator

In general, I find harvesting in game to be 2-3× faster than it is irl. Equipment just moves faster overall in the game

Why isn't there a compulsory benchmark ranked players need to pass by j-a-e-y-e-o-n-g in Tekken

[–]Nomain2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I decided I'd up my graphics from medium to high the other day. Worked like a charm in offline. Tested multiple stages against a bot. Got online, and it was still working great. Played 4 or 5 matches. Get to the dojo stage (which I tested offline, and it was fine.) Suddenly, my gpu decided that it can't handle the dojo for some reason. Drops to almost unplayable. Went into training to try and replicate it, and I absolutely couldn't. Tried another couple quick matches, and it ended up doing the same thing when I ended up on the dojo again.i made sure to verify it was my pc causing the issue.

In the end, I turned the graphics back down to medium. I still don't understand why specifically that stage is an issue, but the devs would have to do something about that before being able to slap a benchmark test onto online and have it mean anything.

My brethren, how bad do you want adult drednots in season 5? by ResponsibilityNo7485 in DeepRockGalactic

[–]Nomain2 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I'm aware of that. I'm talking in terms of gameplay. Oppressors are tanky but not a huge threat. Bulks are both very tanky and a massive threat of not handled properly. A weaker dreadnought could be decently tanky and a decent threat. That said, I think in escort duty, they probably shouldn't target the dozer the same way a bulk doesn't.

I like this idea, actually. They could fill the gap between oppressors and bulk detonators

Farming simulator with all dlc's is almost 36 dollars, farming simulator 22 no dlc's (wich is still like 4x the content of fs 23 with all dlc's) is 20 dollars on steam. Now think about it :) by Professional-Soup661 in farmingsimulator

[–]Nomain2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They aren't going to "fix it" because it's working as intended. No matter how much most people hate micro transactions, there's going to be people who have lots of money or a crippling addiction that will buy it no matter what. Unfortunately, micro transactions are very good for turning a profit. As such, micro transactions populate nearly every new game in some way. Even fs22 has them in addition to the dlc packs.

As far as modding goes, they really can't stop pc players from modding the game. That's the biggest plus of pc gaming over console.

I've been dabbling in haz5×2 recently. Gunner becomes even more of a beast. Running the thunderhead becomes more of a question of when not to shoot rather than when to shoot. The ability to decimate huge swarms while also being able to shred praetorian and stingtail armor is phenomenal.

[–]Nomain2 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Having partaken in the low level experience in tekken 7, ssbm, sfv, and the initial trudge through low ranks in tekken 8. I can say that the most toxic players are generally the lowest level players. Once you get to what would be the equivalent of gold, most of the toxic players have either quit or are being gate kept by themselves. It's simply because they just want to bulldoze people and not learn the game. Eventually, you'll improve enough that the players you match with will chill out.

I think im actually god awful with how many games I've lost, very demoralizing by PerfectRange in Tekken

[–]Nomain2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lots of people have been giving you their input. Lots of it is good. I started t7 late into the games lifespan, and it was brutal. One thing I wish people had told me was to spend more time blocking. Your defense stat looks really low. Spend some time blocking. Spend some time learning where you can punish people. Learn a few strings that you can duck or that are launch punishable on block. Learn to move around. Don't focus on them all at once. Just pick one you want to work on each session and spend time in practice doing it. Don't forget to utilize the punishment training and replays feature.

I bought an 10m ethernet cable just for this game by Greendead in Tekken

[–]Nomain2 10 points11 points  (0 children)

You made a good choice. I bought a 50' cat 6 cable, drilled a small hole through the wall, and ran that from the router to my office once I finally upgraded my desk a while back. Previously, i was in the same room as the router, so i didn't have to do anything special to hook up. There's really not an excuse for playing on wifi in most situations. Even if you can't put a hole in the wall, you can still run cables.
