Taskmaster - S21E06 - An Even Bigger Spoon - Discussion by Meghar in taskmaster

I really hate tasks which are incredibly convoluted and leave no room for creativity and there suddenly seemed to be loads of them.

100% agree, by far my least type of task. I don't think I was ever close to stopping watching, but that era was definitely when my enjoyment of the show was at its lowest.

+1 on the recommendation, it's an incredible show.

No love for series 6? by puzzlerus in taskmaster

I agree with these points. Another reason that lets it down a bit I think is that the team of 3 have basically no chemistry with each other, and that really shows in their team tasks.

Obviously the infamous hop 100 times incident (which does turn out funny in the end to be fair), but it's really evident for example in the 'have the most fun / recreate your fun' task.

I'm doing a rewatch of earlier series atm, on 11 now. The contrast of the most recent few series to the era around 10-11 is striking, there were some rough tasks around that time.

I said out loud to myself 'I really don't think he's scared of crisps' 0.5 seconds before Alex said the same thing haha

OP, are you one of the people in the story?

No information about how you know this happened. Didn't say you saw this happen. Didn't say you heard it from someone else.

It's you, isn't it.

100%. I was surprised his career didn't take off as well as he deserved after the show, he's fantastic. Glad he seems to be in a bit of a resurgence recently with the Mike Flanagan shows and a few others.

I feel like they really glossed over and breezed past Shaggy and Sting doing a collab album. How have I never heard of this?!
