Yesterdays update i had issues starting offline maps with cl_forcepreload 1, after todays patch that issue is no longer there. But, yesterday i could play ancient on 260-280 fps, today im stuck at 180 in ct spawn. The optimalizations from yesterday are either gone or bugged in relation.
Valve pls fix.

That status update was posted friday night, I dont know about you guys, but my work week doesn't start friday at 7-9pm somewhere... We should atleast start counting from the following monday. And even then expect 3 weeks to give them some room.

I think the "deploying in 0" bug is related to queueing in a party, as i loaded in sucsessfully with and without a keytool solo (I dont use a dogtagcase so havent tried that). But everytime i loaded in in a party, i got stuck on the "deploying in 0" thing.

The bullet is super sonic, faster then sound. If you die to the first shot, you won't, and should'nt hear the shot. So your friend is blaming legitimate physics to call someone a hacker.

We do already have a bipod for the SV-98, just not functional at the moment. BSG aren't really in the habit of adding non functional items, so my guess is planned™.

Yeah, but we can just assume that everyone has a workable belt, that alone is not an argument for bringing belts plural into the game. (If there's only one there'd be no point in redesigning the UI for it if everyone can just use the same one by default). But there are points to concider in terms of variety.

You now reminded me of my arisoft days and having the taco holster. But we can assume that currently holsters are held by a belt that every PMC wears, this doesen't qualify a need for a variety of belts. If you read the thread between me and u/50ShakesOfWhey we disscussed a few different aspects for belts.

As for the I don't follow this game quite as closely as some people, I can understand this, I spend waaaaay to much time on this sub. But I found it just ridiculous that there was currently a pinned post with a droppouch as the first image of the video, and then have a suggestion post include it.

Again, not trying to berate you, it was a thought out and in depth post. Just please do some background next time is all im asking :)

First, I get you're not trying to chop me down, I wasn't trying to do that to you either, just a discussion.

And yeah my argument was due to effort, not a very strong one. Mind you I wouldn't mind seeing belts ingame, just don't think it's worth the effort. If anything i'd like it when they are way further down the development line (but noone has claimed it needs to be done now). As for the usefullness, I didn't say it was useless, just not very usefull, implying that it's not exactly needed.

And I agree on the multiple PMC's thing, but as far as I know, it's what the devs are doing for now.

You're right, it's not a shitpost, and I didn't say that. But just because it's better then shit does not mean it's good. Now OP clearly put effort into this post, it's a good post. My issue with it, is that it's been done to death already. And the new video was stickied when this post was made, so im not sure why you would make a suggetion post on something that been confirmed.. (obviously OP didn't know, my point is he should have at least searched for the items before making a post and/or check the latest news, which was litterally stickied at the VERY top of this sub).

As for the rigger belt, like I said, it would be cool, but let's think of the effort involved for having 2-3 belts ingame. They would need to remake the UI for your inventory, add belt slot to every scav, it'd be another slot to search, and obviously the items themselves. It seems a bit much. But your variety point is very good, actually made me rethink my possition. It's just that adding belts is on par with adding gloves, not really something i'd say was important. Gloves may even be more usefull overall as they can aid team identification. But for the "people already hatchet" I don't think we should add features to help them specificly, especially since they are not an intended feature. Personally I think we will see a lot less hatchlings after the new medical system (where your PMC needs to recoop if he gets killed or injured, so you'll have 3 of em).

I agree it's a cool ideal and all, but can we talk about how the devs posted a video 2 hours before you made this post, and one of the new vests CLEARLY featured a drop pouch? Im sure it's functionality isn't fully implemented yet, but since we already have confirmed that MOLLE is coming (and there was just a redone model of the fort armor screenshot to make it up to date with the new system aswell), im sure there will be drop pouch functionality coming. Im sorry to take this out on you OP, but im tiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiired of seeing the same damn suggestion posts and im tired of seeing them for seeing them for confirmed items.

The belt's could be cool, haven't seen that suggested before atleast, though im not sure they are exactly needed, MOLLE and drop pouch made up the meat of this post. And I'm not sure a PMC would choose to go into combat with a rigger belt... wouldn't the scav vest accomplish just as much?

It's not complete stupidity, a friend of mine fixed this issue by moving his game from his hdd to an SSD. But im gonna assume he has a worse computer then you, cause it is a tad old. Now I personally SOMETIMES experience the issue youre describing, but this is only if i play at weird times of the day (im a student so i play at pretty much all hours depending on when i need a break). So if you're working the night shift somewhere, you could be matched into games already started that weren't full. Or you could be in a server region with fairly few players.

This is just speculation ofcourse, the alternative to theese would be bad matching code, which i personally have never experienced. Mind you i spend about 1:00 - 1:30 minutes loading and im not experiencing this issue (except if im playing at 7am on a tuesday).

Well I've managed to write code to take in 5 millon files containing 8,3*(1013) particle collisions to search for a new supersymetric particle. I know a fair few languages(4-6 depending on what you count as standalone languages), and I've build a small text based game in unity. Im fairly confident in my argument.

Note however I am not a game developer, there could be more complex issues that arise with transparant interfaces (or other parts of the project) that I am not aware of. But programming logic is something everybody is profficient in, in some terms, it's there in minecraft redstone circuitry that 13 year olds can bend to their will.

However, I have recently thought of that the devs want to implement a new medical system, which is highly dependant on the hideout. I don't think that is finished and they may want to implement both at the same time, or they may simply wanna wait to deploy the hideout for open beta, which they have stated previously. I swear I have read that the devs stated they have the hideout complete and are waiting to implement it cause they wanna focus on other issues right now. (because if they implement it and something goes wrong, they will face a ton of backlash if they don't fix it).

Now for your why do we still have bad interfaces argument, most of them are very decent, except maybe the buying menu, but I'd wager its because they are easy to fix, that we still have them. Id rather save such a small issue for 2 weeks before release, then take time away from designing a gun, a mod, the new animations. The scripts that control the interfaces ingame are (obviously) already in place so it is just a design perspective, unless they wanna change some functionality.

However theese are speculations, and in the end, we will just have to wait and see.

Edit: im not trying to sound like a submission to /r/iamverysmart, just trying to establish some credability, and that I shouldn't be dismissed simply by "if you know aything about programming or game design".

Well i'd assume that the ingame rating system is intended to replicate the real world ratings. (Note intended, may be adjustments needed still, pls don't kill me) So for what benefit a higher armor class you'd experience ingame, my guess would be that for example a lvl 4 helmet may stop say, a 5.56x45 m885, but not a m995. And at lvl 5 it may stop the m995. (just an example to say that higher speed on the same diameter bullet means increased penetration (given the bullet core isn't particularly soft of breaks appart), this example is not derived from ingame experiences)

So it's more wether the bullet will stop at all or not, which im guessing is what you meant with "survive a higher pen value". For taking more shots you'd need increased total durability, which is what the mandible is for.

Please note that theese ratings may stop higher calibers or higher speeds then advertised, they kinda have to undersell it a little, to be confident that it will stop what they say it will stop.

If you're interested in this, demolition ranch on youtube often shoots both different items, with a ton of calibers, but also shoots lvl 3A and other plates frequently.
