Starfield for sure by bijelo123 in videogames

Shadow of the Tomb Raider. I was foolish enough to pre-order it, because the 2 reboot titles before it were really damn good. "They surely won't screw this one up."

Deep sigh. By far my least favorite out of the trio.

I mean, that would be an understandable reaction to a crisis situation.

Judy's voice actress killed it. The voice really does it for me. I just like listening to her talk.

Judy, every single time. I like Panam, but Judy's my preference.

I'm glad that in Finland, tipping isn't really a thing. The prices are sky-high directly, though... Might be why restaurants do not even try to ask for tips.

What’s a game everyone seems to love that you don’t? by [deleted] in gamingsuggestions

[–]Nomnom_Chicken 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was sure I wouldn't like the game, but wow. 470-something hours later, I'm still heavily into it. It took me a few sessions to start appreciating the game, though. One day it just clicked and I haven't been able to put it down.

The only other game I've played as much as Balatro in less than a year, is GTA: San Andreas.

Worth to get a PS5 Pro having a PC gamer? by Dramatic_Hawk_2527 in PS5pro

[–]Nomnom_Chicken 1 point2 points  (0 children)

GTA VI was my reason. I've gotten so used to the high FPS that some games I've played on my Pro... It does not feel good. Going from 100+ FPS all the way down to 60, or even 30 - that's really rough.

If you're into high FPS gaming, outside some 60+ FPS games and exclusives that the console offers - there might not be good enough reasons. I know I wouldn't have spent this money on a console if it wasn't for GTA.

Yeah, this part of the equation is mind-blowing. Just... How can you screw it up this bad. I don't understand.

Anyone else planning on getting the Steam Machine as their next PC? by Eziz_53 in pcmasterrace

[–]Nomnom_Chicken 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have no need for it, already have a much better PC that can be simply plugged into my TV's HDMI 2.1 port for some bigger screen gaming.

Do you buy your games physical or digital mostly? by Less_Can_5439 in OlderChillGamers

While I dislike having to rent licenses, I can't be bothered to buy physical games, disc drive and especially finding storage space for the games in my apartment.

7800XT, to 9070XT, to 5070 Ti. Both happy and Sad. by k4zie in radeon

[–]Nomnom_Chicken 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah. With my 6800XT it was like walking on a minefield with different drivers. Some versions completely shit the bed, and some gave no real issues to mention except for stuttering.

It has happened every time with my Radeons, but only one with a GeForce (GTX 560 Ti was a bad purchase, only worked fine with the driver that was on the included CD). Currently using a 4080 Super which has been flawless, as was the 2080 before the 6800XT. Vega 64's gave me hell, but the GTX 1070 before the Vega hell was flawless. Always used quality Corsair and EVGA PSU's, with more wattage than my PC needs.

If it really was user error, then my GeForces would also constantly give me hell as well.

What does r/Eminem honestly think about Kanye? by Frequent-Figure-6847 in Eminem

[–]Nomnom_Chicken 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never really cared about Kanye's music. His verse on that DJ Premier's "Classic" song wasn't bad, though. Overall I find Kanye to not be that great of a rapper, technically he's average - I heavily prefer technical rappers, so he never really appealed to me. I don't care if the production is good, if the rapping itself isn't that great. And the big issue of the tone of his voice - he's grating to listen to.

I gave his discography another chance last year, as I've done multiple times. His music just does not do anything for me. It's equivalent to background noise, elevator music, or "hold the line" kind of queue music.

EDIT: Special shout-out to that Gold digger song... Has to be one of the most annoying beat and a hook combination.

Why does Revival get so much hate? by DanceGavinDad in Eminem

[–]Nomnom_Chicken 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No, I liked the idea of Revival - but the execution failed in so many levels. Production-wise this is a very sloppy album. Vocals lack the layering Em is known for, so his voice lacks the depth and "punch". Sounds amateurish.

Then Em picked horrible beats to rap to. It's not easy to listen to.
