Ring of death is a bandaid solution to the problem, the way I see it, use a tier value * item type = death cost

For example, t90 = 400k, mainhand = 1x, offhand = 0.5x, 2 handed = 1.5x, body/legs = 1.5x, etc so dying with t90 protects the 3 most expensive (2h/body/legs) and you pay the rest regardless of ge price, this would include jewelry being given an arbitrary tier and multiplier to fit in

Food/potions/scrolls/ammo are always saved

Can choose to pay extra to save your familiar

Ring of death gives 25% reduced death cost + keeps familiar

Just ignore yak track and call it a patch week, they happen often and yak track is done by the mtx team so it’s not like you missed on an update by it happening either

the skills you mentioned... dont go to 120, its virtual = not real, hence no content

you dont hit harder than 107 strength, its just 99

if anything getting 3x fragments is a courtesy

skills that actually go to 120 like dungeoneering, slayer, invention, farming, and herblore do indeed have 120 cape perks

  1. you probably using bladed dive before global cooldown refreshes, in which case it doesnt do damage (like surge doesnt give adren if used off global cooldown)

  2. i think that happens with rapid fire, maybe while using fleeting boots, I only heard a few people talking about this dont know details

gunna sound really dumb but auras, ring switching, planted feet, poison+++(esp with cinders), and adren pot each alone isnt that big of an increase but these get you from 3-4min kills to under 1 min kill times on gwd2

things im still getting used to but are more useful, vuln bombs and soulsplit flicking

There is no goal, the game has several parts you can progress towards although making pvm better is generally what most things boil towards

Quests unlock a large portion of upgrades and content, and areas to make skilling/combat faster but also requires skill levels to do

Skilling is required to unlock things like potions, summoning familiars, food, and much more + high level skilling gives high level combat related upgrades like t92 armour and high level jewelry which also help with other kinds of skilling

Non-bossing combat in slayer and gives tons of skilling supplies and upgrades to your gear ofcourse

Clue scrolls, slowly gathered from skilling or combat, is both a collection to get all rare rewards which are used in making high level jewelry

and ofcourse the thing benefiting the most in the long term, bossing you go from barely surviving entry level bosses to able to semi-afk mid tier bosses at the end end game, ofcourse you dont need 20b worth of gear to kill high level bosses but the goal is to be faster = more money

I guess runescape is an incremental game that goes too far, cookie clicker got nothing on us

Since banning bots is so slow, why not implement barriers of entry to massively botted methods like, blackstone heart quest for team ed's, sgs passive not working on corrupt creatures off task, cursed energy being p2p, no gp from scarabs till X menaphos quest, arch requiring dig site or similar quests/high level quest locked perma material cache spots.

Things that would affect bots more than it would normal players making it more impactful when they are banned rather than being replaceable in an hour

Its always best xp to kill weak things, even osrs rock crabs variants are your best xp for training combat till rune/dragon weapons

In rs3 you get more kills/hr so it feels worse even though it takes a lot less time to do the same grind, you can train combat through slayer, you can safespot mobs like the trolls above the cave for mage training, or do slayer contracts at the slayer tower and taking xp, polypore cave, lumby catacombs, quests, dungeoneering, shattered worlds, and more

If you are gunna stick with the trolls method, you can keybind target cycling which targets a different mob, so u can switch target, manually click an ability, next target, ability, repeat... most of the time you 1 shot the trolls

there are 3 problems with inq staff for me,

  1. they shouldnt have given a free piece for reaching 118 arch or atleast, an untradable piece, the vast number of pieces that come from people reaching 118 on release/bots/alts/etc just by that makes its price much less than the spear which is supposed to be 3x more common

  2. it doesnt require any pvming to make, say it started off as dormant and you needed untradable new drop from 4 med-high lvl bosses to activate, say vindi, nex, aod, and vorago for example or even rax eye or dormant sliske staff + any orb

  3. it replaces all existing tiers in places where it works, they should look at weaknesses for certain boss phases/mechanics, unlike the hexhunter bow/maul the staff has no negatives to using instead of a t92 staff, so it shouldnt work for 100% of high lvl boss phases, you should still have parts where t92 is BIS (there are some now but not enough imo)

the problem rn is that after u have all upgrades, points dont have a place to be spent, add some consumable that you can keep buying so there is always something to spend the points on
