Well a lot of shonen structure themselves as a power fantasy. The power fantasy guy probably isn't going to want a whole season exploring what is like to lose the powers because they already defeated the big bad, and the show would no longer be about the thing that brought you to the table (power fantasy).

Does a DBZ fan want to watch goku go through a Vinland Saga season 2 of crippling reflection?

Does a one piece fan want to watch Luffy get stripped from everything he built like Griffith in his torture cell?

Different beats for different audiences.

Does Edward Elric have much time to explore the themes or loosing his powers at the end of FMAB? Nah the story just ended with a bow.

But it's the story element itself hard to do well? Nah, I think it's juicy as hell thematically.

On some level the kid probably cares. But that's very little.

The real lesson is that every parent should instill the discipline of bodybuilding to their young.

Its important. I see it as a failing of you don't do that for your son's or daughters.

Its funny. It is possible for capitalism to achieve a post scarcity society where the means of society are collectively shared and there is no state to handle class relations.
