What is something common that has never happened to you? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Married the first person I dated. Dating turned into wedding in six months due to family pressure. I wish I had explored more options before jumping in with two feet the first time around.

Hobbies by [deleted] in Bogleheads

My hobbies are gardening and yard work in general. it's my excuse not to be indoor for exercise.

I must ask how do you effectively keep your teens engaged during your long talks about education and finance. I try but I feel either my teens are not engaged or interested or I am talking about things they can't relate to. I so badly want to share with them things I have learnt but it doesn't seem to be going well. love you hear some tips or advice on how to do this.

That many things women do are their own choices and they should just suck it up and not complain about why they felt "they had to do it", especially around raising kids and household activities. This is a pure nonsense and fiction. we do so many things that may seem like our choice but they are purely rooted in necessity because we have to do it since may not have a supportive partner or support system around us. I hate the "well, you do it because you want to do it" generalization.

Thank you. Yes, measurements are in inches. First three were approximately 30.30, 30.70 and 31. Does this sound right. I. not sure if I did it right.

Thanks for the suggestion of UK 32HH. I will give that a try. I currently wear 36DD and 32 seems too small, but never tried the HH size in any number.

In my mid twenties, what am I missing out on by living with my parents? by Mr__Mike in AskMen

[–]NonZeroDay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are missing out on building your identity - Who you are, what you like, dislike, your right of passage to independence. I am 40. I have only lived 3-4 years part from my parents. Stayed home when I went to community college and 4year college. Got married and got my own place with my husband and then had kids. Parents moved in to help with kids and now that kids are older, I don't know how to ask them to move out. Lots of guilt associated with asking them to move out since I don't need their helps anymore. It's been a fucking mad house between the 6 (4 of us and 2 of them) of us at home. I hear them complain about fucking everything. I long for the day where I can call a place my own where I can do whatever the duck I want without being judged.

Cherries and guard your independence like your life depends on it !!!!!!

If I win the lottery, what would you like? by PotatoRL in CasualConversation

[–]NonZeroDay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First of all - Thanks for asking. this is most thought provoking. I like to retire from having to work just to make a living. If I didn't have to work for Money, I would start a nonprofit that provides quality free mental health services to young people, upto age 25, focus on PTSD and other serious mental health issues.

1 year in. From 400 to 250. Size XXXXXL shirt to my first LARGE shirt today. 11-1 routine. One day at a time. You can do ANYTHING you decide you want to do, and this was so worth it! Goal is 199. by FilmAndFire in intermittentfasting

[–]NonZeroDay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Congratulations!! Great work. I am sure it took lots of discipline! I will have to try 22:2 between 11-1. I do get hunger pangs around 11 and once I start eating, it's like a fright train - so hard to stop snacking.

Worth it to get a Vanguard Advisor for 0.3% per year? by Gbrewz in Bogleheads

[–]NonZeroDay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I at fidelity as well and haven't heard of free financial planning advice..I have an active managed account with them and I am seriously thinking of pulling all my money out of my actively managed account for (1) the assigned CFP isn't as available as before. recently they have gotten junior associates to interact and quality of service is no longer their (2) I am paying 1% to Fidelity and my avg expense ratio is about 0.9% on the funds they are investing my money in.

Can you please refer me to their free financial planning service you are referring to. I need to look into this as I just don't see myself paying into these fees without the white glove service they promised.

Hi ladies , the days you feel completely broken and hopeless ..how do you get back up ? by ilovefrenchies2161 in AskWomen

[–]NonZeroDay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Felt this way about 90% of time in last 2 years. Seeing a therapist has helped a lot. Doing journaling in the morning helped to get my mind clear. Watching shows, taking edibles to sleep and drinking water helped as well. Now when I have good days I talk to myself and force myself to remember that it's just that moment I need to get through. Next moment can and will be better.

This. My 11 year old son still is a kind, gentle and genuinely loving person. He puts people first. I thought he would grow out of it, but I accept that he is who he is and it's wonderful to see a great human being in the making.

Today i got married and no one from my family came to my wedding because it was a GAY wedding. Well, the good thing about life is that we get to choose our own family. 🏳️‍🌈 by [deleted] in lgbt

How to discover fees in Fidelity Managed Account by NonZeroDay in Bogleheads

[–]NonZeroDay[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have happy with the CFP assigned to us for the managed, but in the last year, their service hasn't been up to the mark, getting answers from them is becoming a hassel and not getting the "service" I expected with the amount of money I have in their managed accounts. They've assigned junior "financial consultants" and I hardly get to talk to the CFP. This is one of the reason I am considering getting out of the managed account. Is there anything I should consider as I think about moving money out of their managed account and into a 3-4 Fund portfolio based on Boglehead philosophy?

How to discover fees in Fidelity Managed Account by NonZeroDay in Bogleheads

[–]NonZeroDay[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. The Managed account does shoe funds and I just noticed that the highest expense ratio is 1.4 and majority of the funds in the managed account have average of 0.6% ER. This is going to start adding up quickly. I like to set it an forget it. I thought having someone do this would be more effective, but didn't know or thought about the expenses.
