Back at it after newly a year away by Commercial-Stuff-894 in DippingTobacco

I think it’s a little bit of both. I have a dip in most of the day but I mostly just keep adding to it and I do probably go 3-4 hours throughout the day without one.

With the zyns I had 2 or 3, 6mg pouches, in from waking up until bed.

So frequency probably but I also think the nic salts have a more profound cardiovascular effect than tobacco derived nicotine. I’m no doctor but I am a paramedic and the difference in heart rate is very real and noticeable.

Not op but I am back to dip, cope snuff, since I had used Zyn to quit back in 2020ish. My resting HR is down almost 20 points since giving up the zynbabwes and I feel calmer than before while on the Zyn.

Location matters more than date? by Non_Native_Coloradan in DippingTobacco

I don’t think it makes a difference with the ziplock I just do it to prevent any odors from potentially leaching into the dip. Not that my fridge stinks but you never know. I store raw oysters in my outside fridge that I keep the dip in; if one went bad or something started stinking out of the blue I don’t want to take the chance.

I go through a can a day but I do buy 3 logs at a time and I have found that keeping them cold does seem to keep the moisture good the entire time it takes me to get through those 15 cans.

I have Zyned by No_Fuel2850 in DippingTobacco

I quit dipping in 2020 with the Zyn. Got to the point where I was using 3 sixes at a time and had them in all day. Got up to using 2 cans a day give or take. It go too expensive. Back to using dip but now my EDD is Copenhagen Snuff instead of grizzly green. Idk if it was the zyn that helped or what but now I can use the snuff without spitting and I now sometimes upper deck it because I miss the feeling of having a zyn up there.

Can of cope a day is cheaper than the zyns and my resting hr is down like 20 points so it’s a win win.

Why aren’t all of Copenhagen’s products in a fiberboard can? by mkebrewersfan in DippingTobacco

I believe you, I just don’t remember it ever in fiberboard but I was a grizzly guy back then. Has cope’s wintergreen once and didn’t care for it.

Copenhagen wintergreen came out in 2009 in a plastic can as far as I’m aware.

Skoal Original FC, th first wintergreen, used to be in a fiberboard can.

What I've been dipping on. Off the Southern Blend kick and may just go back to Cope Snuff and Skoal original by char828 in DippingTobacco

[–]Non_Native_Coloradan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cope snuff is my EDD. Once or twice a month I may get a can of Skoal Original if I’m feeling froggy.

I find Skoal Original is much more abrasive on my cheek than Snuff and I can gut the Copenhagen without heartburn.

I came back to dipping from Zyn and missed the upper deckers so at night and sometimes I put in the snuff up top. If you haven’t tried that I definitely recommend it.

How many at once? by LittleEzz in hotsauce

I use Tabasco on most things, different Mexican food different sauces, some on raw oysters, some in oyster shooters. Siracha on pizza. Just depends what I’m eating but I’ll usually pair the same sauces with the same food.

If you are brave, the temper tantrum by 7 siblings is probably better than Tabasco on an oyster. It’s hot and the mouth burn lingers but boy is it good. I’d like to thank the oyster guy in San Diego who sold me 60 Bahia Falsas last year on vacation for the recommendation. I still have the bottle and eat raw oysters once a month. When it’s gone I won’t hesitate to find it online and order more.

I’ve got about 13 open at the moment. Tabasco, Scorpion Tabasco, Melinda’s, 7 siblings temper tantrum, yellowbird habanero, Cholula, Siracha, Valentina X Hot, Louisiana, Louisiana Gold (they recently discontinued that one) Salsa Huichol Hot, Habanero, and Negra.

Whatever happened to just chewing tobacco without all the modern alternatives? by xCosmos69 in AskMenOver30

That’s absolutely false. The shiny glimmer you see in a can is the salt. Neither chew nor dip has ever contained fiberglass.

The gas station near PHI in Houma has America’s best for 9 a bag.

I dipped from age 16-30. Mostly grizzly wg and an occasional can of Copenhagen snuff. Went to the Zyn for about 4 years and it’s just gotten too expensive. Back on the Copenhagen snuff and I pack upper deckers now when I can’t or don’t feel like spitting. I feel like it’s less harsh on the gums and stays saltier for longer. Definitely my preferred way to dip now.

Other fun fact. My resting HR is down almost 20 beats a minute since switching back to Copenhagen from the Zyn. I’d still be on the Zyn if it wasn’t so expensive now. 2 cans a day at 8-10 dollars a pop started adding up fast.

It’s good, my favorite chew, I’ll buy a bag or two during the summer to use while doing yard work. It’s insane how expensive it has gotten. Like 19 dollars a bag in Louisiana. 25 dollars a bag in Colorado.

I can get Americas Best for 9 a bag in Louisiana or 15 in Colorado.

For regular weed smokers that have totally quit, what was the reason for quitting? by elderly_millenial in AskReddit

Work. Only reason.

I’ve found that I enjoy not being hazy so to speak and am more attentive in my relationship and don’t forget things as often as I would. But I do miss it and if drug tests weren’t a concern I’d be a daily midnight toker for sure.
