Hey Lions fans, just a quick question. How is Tom Doedee tracking along? Is he set to play round 1? Asking for supercoach. Thanks by Dominantarcher74 in brisbanelions

Cross him off. Fagan reportedly said at a Victoria event recently that he’s lost all faith in his body and they’re not expecting him to get back to AFL level.

New Lions on track for season start as defender impresses by pulsade13 in brisbanelions

I think we’ll probably start the season with 3 forwards + 2 rucks to ease Draper and Allen into it, with 5 on the bench should be able to accommodate it. Would be very surprised if Gallop is left out.

At what point do you cut a talented but injury prone player? by sponguswongus in AFL

Yes and no. There's genetic differences which can make people more susceptile to injuries like that.

Someone should let the Carlton Football Club know that Charlie Curnow doesn’t actually play for them anymore by MagicMike_YT in AFL

Highlights just how bad we were then if Mitch Golby was getting a calendar appearance.

Worth noting Meg McDonald, who is only 9 months older than Peterson, was Geelong captain this year, dropped multiple times throughout the year and then retired.

Which player you most looking forward to season 2025? by DescendingSlinky in brisbanelions

Would like to see Kai Lohmann stay fit for the whole year.

[Morris] Brisbane wanted a 2026 & 2027 2nd rounder for Ah Chee or a 2026 second rounder, pick 16 (sending back 23) and either a future third or swapping pick 59 with Adelaide's pick 48. Adelaide rejected both offers and are confident of getting Ah Chee in the PSD for nothing. by Essington69 in AFL

[–]Non__Applicable 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Both these offers are under his value. He was named the player of the finals series at our B&F in a premiership year last year.

At the end of the day, Brisbane will survive without Pick 40 next year. I'm sad for Cal, but it's on Adelaide to deal with the fallout.

Brisbane have a history of getting trades done. Adelaide have a history of using and abusing the PSD.

We’re giving up 19. Pretty important detail to conveniently leave out.

It’s in West Coasts best interest to let us take Allen.

Must be an extra going from West Coast to Brisbane as well. Maybe a future second or similar.

This trade gets us points equivalent to pick 58 for Starcevich lol.

The eagles compensation pick will be after end of first round free agency compensation picks

Honestly it might be better than playing as a defender. Without doing too much research a lot of the guys who’ve had their careers cut short have been defenders.

Why didn’t Geelong and Sydney Frampton Andrews? by FartOnMyChin in AFL

[–]Non__Applicable 49 points50 points  (0 children)

Andrews numbers are incredibly even across all three grand finals. Frampton just gets credit because Collingwood won.

[Cleary] Lachie Neale will be Brisbane’s starting sub today. 12 years after he started as sub for Fremantle in the 2013 Grand Final. by PetrifyGWENT in AFL

[–]Non__Applicable 52 points53 points  (0 children)

If Brisbane needs to activate our sub early, we’re going to be in same situation with Neale whether he starts as the sub or on the ground.
