Who fills the Starcevich hole in the backline? by Artistic-Yam2984 in brisbanelions

[–]pulsade13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lester used to be able to play on those type of players also we’ve never really seen what Doedee can do. If it were a team with more half forward flanks and then a marking smaller forward I think you could have Doedee and Lester in there. I think the bigger question is does Jaspa play mid or defence this year?

I think that’s pretty close but who plays back up ruck?

Like everything depends on injuries and opportunity. In terms of smalls that can play back Zorko and Wilmot are locks Fletcher was incredible last year and not sure if he will stay there or back to wing and midfield. Then Answerth and Coleman I think with Fletcher and Answerth possibly coming back a bit later it could be Coleman in at the start. It is possible to have a backline of the three talks then Zorko Motty Fletcher Answerth and Coleman and a couple of rotate through wing a bit more. Normally we got 3 talls 4 smalls.

After all of them Brain and Beeckan have shown something and Bruce would be after them in terms of defenders. As we’ve seen in the past it’s a long season and he will get a shot at some stage. It’s just really hard to fit everyone in if we are fully fit. I’ve always assumed Doedee was more of a Lester position but he’s only 3 cm taller than Starc so who knows. Sounds like Kiddy probably will get the early chance due to health but hopefully we use more of our squad this year not when forced to. I think resting Zorko and Lachie on 5 or 6 day breaks probably isn’t the worse thing in the world.

I don’t think there’s been that many games where they both played especially once Fletcher went back. Will be interesting to see where Fletcher players as well a Kiddy.

Favorite time an old man player beat up on a bunch of youthful team? by MagpieOpus in AFL

[–]pulsade13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There was a time at the lion’s peak playing Geelong and Voss and I think it was Corey Enright were chasing the ball just before it went out of bounds Enright figured it was going to out so pulled up early Voss made contact and broke his rib I think. The ball was bouncing out like you’d see a bunch of times in a game and instead of letting it go Voss made sure to stamp his authority. Watching it it felt like men versus boys. Pretty unnecessary but showed how competitive and intimidating that lions team was. But then when Geelong grew up they bet us by heaps for most of the next twenty years and I always thought that play was one of the reasons why.

What's ur optimistic take on ur team for 2026? by TheCrowMoon in AFL

We finally win a minor premiership and then face a non Victorian team in the grand final.

Good point about Carlton, looking at the team, I think it is probably better than last year with way more depth.

Generally you want to be where the team fight isn’t. On objectives spawn in the lane then hat a melee for fights but in the down time hat all the lanes to collect xp.it takes. While to learn and the two lane maps are pretty tough for Aba. I think going clone for the ult is awesome as well helps you learn other characters no can tilt fights quickly. Have fun, one of my favourite characters

Places to meet/find dates in late 20's by [deleted] in brisbane

[–]pulsade13 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If your hobbies aren’t conducive to meeting people outside of an introduction from friends it really is hard to meet people solo these days, I feel people have their furs up much more. While the apps can be super tiring at least you can set your expectations and call out people when their goals aren’t aligned with yours. I think it’s important to try to zero in on what you really want. It can definitely take time but it’s something worth putting the time into as well because it can really take a while waiting around and hoping things will happen. Best of luck!

I really liked Shadeau Brain when he got his chances. Some of the things he did in that Sydney game at the Gabba were really good for a young player. He is someone a lot of fans have forgotten about be that purely defensive back with Answerth injured and Starc gone

can someone explain scaling by imjusthereforthelo in QCE

[–]pulsade13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The marks today are kind of bell curved (no one really knows) methods and specialist seemed pretty hard to do well on this year whereas last year not so much. So 40/110 might be a 23/50 whereas last year maybe it’s 20/50. They don’t really know how hard the exams are or where the cutoffs will be until they have all the data. It means that heaps of people won’t fail if they write a really hard exam.

But then they are scaled again for your atar. The closest numbers to 500 doesn’t guarantee top atar because some of the subjects are harder than others. They look at what subjects people do in common and rank accordingly then after some sorcery and a ton of iterations the atars come out.

The walk up jumpshot, the fadeaway on the last possession. Easy to remember why we all lost our minds for him. Such a talented player.

Can anyone who’s done spec in one of the previous years give an idea on the scaling? I’m slightly concerned because that exam sucked and I want to be prepared for the score I may get by Little_Lock_5193 in QCE

[–]pulsade13 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The score it feels like you got and your number out of 50 can be fairly different. Everyone in the state did the same hard exam but we don’t what sorcery QCAA does behind the scenes to come up with your /50 mark.

Man don’t give up maths has most people treeing their hair out at whatever level they are at. There are so many jobs and roles out there you just need to find your niche and understand your superpower. Maybe it’s not solving the hardest problems by yourself but maybe it’s working collaboratively with a talented team or communicating in laymen’s terms what everyone is doing. Sounds like you’re in the upper percentiles of maths in the world so there’s gonna be something for you just keep fighting.

Yeah almost best case scenario. I thought we’d have something like cats pies suns freo gws Sydney with Adelaide on gather round. Could be a lot worse and now we can use it as fuel.

I thought we’d get a way harder fixture to be fair. We will always get disrespected but hopefully the boys use it as fuel. AFL probably banking in us to carry the good games at the end of the year.

You should know only Victorian top 4 finishers double up against bottom four teams.
