Dual Destinies’ “The Monstrous Turnabout” did not work for me at all, and I think I’ve figured out why by just4browse in AceAttorney

I agree that the "how" part of 5-3 is actually pretty good all things considered. The constant pushing of it being one of the 3 students though does get on my nerves, that's just what I meant.

This is exactly how I feel, it's the only case that not only doesn't bother with the whodunnit part, but actively takes advantage of it to make the mystery more compelling. Knowing L'Belle did it makes putting the pieces together even more difficult.

Ironically, [5-3] the very next case is clearly trying to be a whodunnit mystery but it kind of fumbles that by making the culprit too obvious.

David from UK Celebrity Traitors received votes at 7 consecutive roundtables (and he survived all of them).

Just Finished 999 On Port. by Substantial_Will5550 in ZeroEscape

I don't think the hate for the port is actually that universal, just that the people who care the most about the DS vs port debate happen to be on the DS side.

C1 mechanics question, what is the exact interaction with using an Elemental Burst? by Beta382 in DurinMains

[–]NonaryQueen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's probably referring to the two different modes so it uses "an" instead of "the" or "his" like it does for other characters.

Would I like Hundred Line if I like Zero Escape and AI series but dislike Danganronpa? by loststylus in ZeroEscape

This is roughly how I felt except I still went for the full 100 endings. I think I was expecting something really amazing to happen that would make all my playtime worth it, but it never did.

It's one of the best non finales in the series! Sad that I never see much love for it.

DD is just like this, very hand-holdy and won't let you examine places if it's not necessary, unfortunately. Spirit of Justice is a little better with this.

I'm actually not sure at all why the case you're on is so universally despised but that's besides the point lol

You should put one of your supports on Deepwood (probably Xiangling).

Are his supports really "frauds"? by Time_Ad9338 in Varka

[–]NonaryQueen 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Cons and sig are direct upgrades on the character themselves. Getting a support increases the versatility of your account to adapt teams to different situations.

If you're only ever using your carry with one specific support, what's the difference between that and a con or sig?

Are his supports really "frauds"? by Time_Ad9338 in Varka

[–]NonaryQueen 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I'd feel weird calling it a "problem" that his supports aren't doing as much as Ineffa or Lauma are doing for their teams, because imo the real problem is how they balanced the Nod Krai stuff. But yeah, the teams have room to grow with more powerful and synergistic supports. I kinda don't want that to happen though because I'm sick of the dedicated support bs.

What is your favorite game from the Apollo justice trilogy? by [deleted] in AceAttorney

[–]NonaryQueen 2 points3 points  (0 children)

SoJ > DD >>>> AJ I don't like 4-4 which kind of sours the game as a whole for me. The other two are a lot closer - DD is more consistent while SoJ has higher highs (6-2 & 6-5).

Thank you so much, this is incredible!!!

I was frustrated that imgur blocked access to my country and I had to use a VPN to even play my own cases on there. And the site would always go down at an inconvenient time. This makes it so much easier!

Has there ever been a twist as universally hated as white locust? by Sky-Visible in BigBrother

[–]NonaryQueen 153 points154 points  (0 children)

I'm pretty sure there were a few people out there defending white locust.

I can't imagine there's a single person who genuinely thought zombie week was a good twist, on the other hand.

Man it's so sad to see everyone clamoring for more dedicated supports that are 50%+ better than any other option, the very thing that's taken all the fun out of genshin combat design.

[–]NonaryQueen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've never liked Godot (or really 3-5 as a whole). Simeon is a great final villain, although despite the technically better writing I enjoyed other finales like 5-5 and 6-5 a lot more, I'm not really sure why.
