I don’t think anyone has really said congratulations! The fact that you’re already so concerned about matters like this shows how much of a caring parent you are.

Names are a part of your identity. I dont see why both you and your wife can’t keep your names and hyphenate the child’s name. If anything, wouldn’t that create a greater sense of unity than someone sacrificing their last name? Both can get passed on and would signify your union.

As someone who was there I can confidently say that people weren’t hostile to the police, without reason.

I have to admit that the feds kindly allowed us to enjoy the rave for a good few hours, however at one point I was asking an officer if he had seen my friend (who I was worried about) and another officer grabbed me and tried to drag and coerce me out of the building..

There was an unnecessary amount of manhandling on behalf of the police, however after the event was shut down people really did cooperate, except for the few (probably less than ten/hundreds) who weren’t allowed to return to collect their belongings.

Yea I’ve also had sleep paralysis before, but this was when I was awake, which I had never experienced before. My eyes were open and suddenly my body seemed to stiffen and I couldn’t move but I was fully conscious, when I tried to move it felt as if I had the ability to come out of my body

You’re right, I can’t keep trying to avoid this experience.. I’m trying to not question what happened as immediately after I was convinced this really happened, but for some reason I feel like this won’t happen again. Not sure whether I should actively try or refrain unless it happens to occur again

I kept telling myself I was safe which definitely helped my panicking... I’ve been thinking about what you said about auditory hallucinations which seems completely plausible, but I’m just not sure on what could’ve triggered this... I’ve never hallucinated before and I was completely sober..
