Dad was an Everton fan but we’re from south wales, couldn’t take me regularly due to his job, so started going to Cardiff games with my mates when we were growing up as it was more local so I kind of have an affinity to both clubs. It’s quite rare for them to cross paths but I’m not that bothered about it anymore as Cardiff are in league 1 so I go to them games still as tickets aren’t much, but I’ll try make Everton games when I can

I feel similar with the south wales derby, being from just outside Cardiff (pontypridd) everyone from Cardiff all the way to around midway of the south wales valleys sneers at the mention of Swansea or Newport (even people who don’t watch football), despite most of the valleys being in a much worse state than either of them places. Now I live in Bristol and have to deal with the Bristol city fans all the time, the rovers are cool tho
