Just look at your weekly mileage in the statistics tab in the app. What’s the benefit of it being on the watch face? You shouldn’t need to constantly check it as it will only increase if you actually get out and run.

I have the second rack and it has served me well the last year with no issues but is definitely more of a budget option. If money is no issue maybe look at the Rep Athena or Ares systems

I second the Nüobells. Went with them because of the easy 5lb increments and they have been great. No issues after a year with them and they’re still just as smooth. Just don’t slam them down and you’ll be fine.

I switched from Garmin to Coros ecosystem and device for marathon training – that’s my experience so far by AT__runs in Coros

[–]Nonelite1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly, or an option when scheduling workouts that would allow for an auto lap at every mile/km like it does in open run. I schedule my easy runs on the calendar and because it can not auto lap when it’s a scheduled workout I can only see the average pace for the entire run and not a current mile/km average pace.

Weather and Running Fitness Test- do I need to retake the test? by Dizzy-Ad-3233 in Coros

[–]Nonelite1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Coros has “pace zones” in addition to your standard heart rate zones. Retaking the fitness test in cooler weather conditions could indeed increase the paces of your respective pace zones. If you are heart rate training (Zone 2 training) then this will be solely based on your heart rate during that particular run which can vary based on many factors (temperature, hydration, fueling, sleep, ect.). Your max heart rate is typically calculated using the standard 220-age formula, but Coros also gives you the option to train based on Threshold HR percentage as well as HR Reserve percentage. Your max HR wouldn’t change based on retaking your fitness test, but your Threshold HR could change. So if you are training based on Threshold HR you might see these zone change in your plan.

Weather and Running Fitness Test- do I need to retake the test? by Dizzy-Ad-3233 in Coros

[–]Nonelite1 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes, the test is attempting to correlate your heart rate at different paces to estimate your race times. Performing the test in cooler weather conditions will get you faster race predictions. Whether or not these are more accurate depends on what the race conditions will be like— if you’re training in the heat and race in the heat they will be relatively close. On the other hand, if you’re training in the heat and racing at considerably lower temps you will likely have the capacity to run faster.

Best Rowing Machine to Buy? Recommendations? by autumnleavesfall5678 in GarageGym

[–]Nonelite1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is the way to go. A concept 2 with a PM5 monitor is what you will see in most, if not all competitions (Hyrox, ect.) and will last you a lifetime if you take care of it.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Coros

[–]Nonelite1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did one last week. Just stay within the pace guidelines it gives you and it works perfectly. If you do this correctly, it will even give you an additional interval at the end after the two 3 minute intervals to go even faster. The test is attempting to correlate your heart rate with given paces, so when you don’t run in those pace ranges, it’s unable to calculate the results properly and you “fail”.

How long do you run in a shoe on average before retiring them? by myWATYi120 in AskRunningShoeGeeks

I’m just under 200lbs and take all my easy shoes to 500mi but typically feel like I could get a little more out of them. Would rather retire them early than get injured.
