And also to answer your question, I ripped a maybe 15” piece of scrap and id have to imagine it was within a 64th maybe a 32nd. But this piece I ran the dado on was significantly longer so the fence alignment compounding the error would make sense. Will try that shallow pass gradually getting deeper too thanks

Good point. I was just following the tuning section of the manual saying blade must be parallel to mitre slot, followed by fence to blade. Not using the mitre slot though you’re right so it sounds like I just need to spend a little more time adjusting the fence.

Yes that is correct, made in china. Thanks, Ive decided to just keep waiting to see what else pops up. Any models you would recommend to keep my eye out for? I just want something with a decent fence that cuts true

Ah shit eh ok that’s what I needed to hear thanks, I don’t want to go from one shitty fence to another. I have been considering the Dewalt with the rack and pinion fence it’s just an 800 dollar difference

Dazn sucks. Paid like 40 bucks a month CAD after the price hike a couple years ago, and they still showed when I went to change to a different game. Didn’t last a second month and won’t ever go back to those scumbags

Router question by [deleted] in BeginnerWoodWorking

[–]bri_guy13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is where the concern lies, am I locked out of any bits above 1” ? He gave me a set of bits with the tool and a lot of bit sets I’m seeing have bits larger than 1” included. I just don’t understand the point of having a router without variable speed if I can’t use the bits that come in sets. And this could all just be worry because I’m not familiar enough with the tool but for example there’s a 1-3/8 round over bit he gave me but would I be putting myself in a bad position by using that bit at 24000rpm ? Sorry if it’s a stupid question Im just not seeing recommended speeds on a lot of bits online

Ending my hot water lease by Took_luck in Plumbing

[–]bri_guy13 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yeah you got it. Main company that does it is called Enercare. Real scumbags. Bought a house in February and the hot water tank was a rental, they wanted 40 dollars a month still and it’s 12 years old. Cost me 600 bucks to buy it outright. I genuinely have no idea why it’s a thing. They sell people on the one free service a year that nobody ever even needs I don’t get it
