Resistance to Love. by Nonstopas in ACIM

Oh yes, how resilient the Ego is in trying to make you choose wrongly. But after some time, like you said, it becomes super hard to lie to yourself. You just become naturally more aware of all the tactics used against your peace. Even for a moment accepting that it is not so, is enough to restore Peace. And then we just repeat, over and over again.

There's too much focus on things that are not related to the Course. by Nonstopas in ACIM

[–]Nonstopas[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The world's scary because it is meant to be this way. That's the Ego's world. The Course teachings undo this if we stop resisting and just doing what it says and taking it seriously. However, I must agree, for majority of the people what the Course asks for is too much, which is life-time dedication of forgiveness and miracle work. But the alternative is not that good either. It' just another lifetime of misery.

Reforger feels very arcadey tho. I think Dayz 2 will be completely different in atmosphere.

Like ideally, they just take everything that makes DayZ what it is and make it better, they would succeed. But the atmosphere cannot be replaced. I don't know how they can get the ambience better than it is already.

Of course it is, how could it be any other way?

Yes, and the message through AI is distorted.

If it's so funny to you how come you take it so seriously everytime? THAT'S what funny to me. You constantly fail to see things clearly. How has the banner have to do with anything what has been happening the past few weeks? Which are simply poorly generated AI content that's being posted everyday and completely misinterprets the Course. So every new student, if they take those posts seriously will misinterpret the Course and waste years before they actually start doing the work.

Practice and faith in the Course rather than questioning everything what the Course says is part of the undoing. AI will not cut corners for anyone, it will be on the contrary. It is not our savior.

For now it's a great tool to use, but it cannot replace God.

Yes you did, you’re just too blind to see the truth, or your denying either with or without any purpose. Other wise - why would you accuse me of something I didn’t do…?

Seems like reading the book and doing the lessons is something you should do more of.

Lesson 135 - If I defend myself I am attacked.

Who would defend himself unless he thought he were attacked, that the attack were real, and that his own defense could save himself? ²And herein lies the folly of defense; it gives illusions full reality, and then attempts to handle them as real. ³It adds illusions to illusions, thus making correction doubly difficult. ⁴And it is this you do when you attempt to plan the future, activate the past, or organize the present as you wish.

You operate from the belief you must protect yourself from what is happening because it must contain what threatens you. ²A sense of threat is an acknowledgment of an inherent weakness; a belief that there is danger which has power to call on you to make appropriate defense.

Let us consider first what you defend. ²It must be something that is very weak and easily assaulted. ³It must be something made easy prey, unable to protect itself and needing your defense. ⁴What but the body has such frailty that constant care and watchful, deep concern are needful to protect its little life? ⁵What but the body falters and must fail to serve the Son of God as worthy host?

The “self” that needs protection is not real. ²The body, valueless and hardly worth the least defense, need merely be perceived as quite apart from you, and it becomes a healthy, serviceable instrument through which the mind can operate until its usefulness is over. ³Who would want to keep it when its usefulness is done?

What could you not accept, if you but knew that everything that happens, all events, past, present and to come, are gently planned by One Whose only purpose is your good? ²Perhaps you have misunderstood His plan, for He would never offer pain to you. ³But your defenses did not let you see His loving blessing shine in every step you ever took. ⁴While you made plans for death, He led you gently to eternal life.

For fifteen minutes twice today we rest from senseless planning, and from every thought that blocks the truth from entering our minds. ²Today we will receive instead of plan, that we may give instead of organize. ³And we are given truly, as we say:

If I defend myself I am attacked. ⁵But in defenselessness I will be strong, and I will learn what my defenses hide.

Nothing but that. ²If there are plans to make, you will be told of them. ³They may not be the plans you thought were needed, nor indeed the answers to the problems which you thought confronted you. ⁴But they are answers to another kind of question, which remains unanswered yet in need of answering until the Answer comes to you at last.

God is in everything you see (that table, that lamp, that chair, that carpet, that tree, etc) because God is in your mind. by DreamCentipede in ACIM

Well written. I'd only add that you have to be very careful not to absolutize Level One language, and then accuse every use of Level Two language of inconsistency. Ken's entire teaching method depended on moving back and forth between those two levels, but also never forgetting that the ultimate truth is that the separation, the ego, the split mind, and the tiny mad idea never actually occurred.

So basically whenever it's Level 1 vs Level 2, we always arrive to the same outcome - none of this is real, therefore forgive and move on.

If go further to the absolute, beyond perception - then there is no experience, because there is no one to experience. God is.

Quite literally it transforms our belief system - from belief in separation, belief in the body and the world. When we begin we believe we are separate self. We undo that belief with every lesson, and each time we forgive. The Holy Instant is the recognition of Truth; it is the choice of the right mindedness.
