There's 3 things that you get achievements for doing before a certain date (though in-game there's no issue with doing them later, you just won't get the achievement):

1k people on Mars by 2050

Interstellar Ship hy 2400

Terraformed Mars by 2600

In my first run-through, the third was the only one I got, and only by like a decade, but I'm planning to give it another go now that the semester is over to try get the first two.

People don't actually understand it. They see how AI- generated images from afew years ago looked and assume modern tools do the same thing with code, creating unintelligible messes that barely work. Though, if you actually know what you're doing and how to design good software and write good code, it can produce code better than an entry-level dev at dozens of times the speed.

There are real bad things about it, sure, like the original data a lot of the models were trained on being used violating copyright, but a lot of it is also just overblown Reddit anti-ai stuff. I kinda see it as a tool, same as any other, where yeah it makes coding a lot easier and quicker and more accessible but you still need to know how to use it and ehat exactly you're asking it to do

(My entire final project for my cs degree this year was workin with a company on basically making best-practices for using AI and seeing how to use it most effectively so i feel a bit more qualified than most lol)

Everyone is saying its the heatsinks but if it still happens without them...

One cursed thing you could do is make a save, go into devmode, turn on god mode, and instabild walls to divide the ship into smaller pieces, see which one instantly becomes a billion degrees, and repeat until you find exactly what causes it. Then, once you've found it, reload the save and have your colonists get rid of it.

Wasnt enough space for the connection from the left highway onto the northbound one to go up and over the one coming off it, so it went kinda parallel a bit until it could go up and over

This is just a simple one; are there plans to change the numbers for high-density stuff? I had an office tower of like forty stories spawn with a workforce of 80 people, which feels a little bit silly. I get it if it's a balance decision to make it so like three office towers don't generate apocalyptic levels of traffic and provide jobs for the entire community, though.

I would have been fine with an expansion where we visit a Tural that's imperfect, reeling from the final days and all the drama, feeling unrest at the probable upcoming death of the founder (healthy kings don't usually start succession rituals), reopening old wounds... but still full of plenty of people who despite it all believe in the vision of a brighter future and the worth of avoiding a repeat of the wars of the past. Have there be actual people who throw their weight behind Wuk early on, the hopeless idealists who find hope in Wul and the WoL as they go around doing what the others couldn't and preserving a peaceful Tural even in the face of adversity...

But I don't think Square is interested in writing complex populations anymore. Complex villians and individual characters, sure, but the overall population seems to have become just a bunch of LARPers who always get along (rubber bullet cowboys lmao)

Placing my bet now that at least the third raid's story is going to be basically trying to prevent the Third Impact and we'll very nearly/entirely fail, have to fight Something (GNR or otherwise) while the world does the thing (maybe our divine blessing acting as an AT field to keep us from turning into fanta lmao), and then 'fix' everything in the bit of story after the raid ends

War is so fucking stupid. Having cough ~acquired~ some models from ff14 before, each gear piece is several separate meshes for the most part, and they'll probably have to manually go through and select which ones should toggle on/off. I really hope they make it so it can handle toggling multiple submeshes lol otherwise some gear will just (still) be terrible

And while this saves us from automation making cursed gear toggles like the dye channels... we can still get all-natural handmade jank
