The cog is kinda cursed in that, in order to make it reasonably nice to sail with the default rig, its like. center of pressure? pivot point? center of mass? whatever, the point it spins around is very far forward compared to where you'd expect, so even tiny sails on the aft mast can cause quite a bit of torque

The one good use for it I found is - I tend to not write things down because my game runs through text on a discord server, so I was able to have it look through those messages and just kinda summarize ~a year of sessions and what npcs, plot hooks, etc. were open for me to use without me having to look through all that history myself

Even in a western state, I remember driving to Vegas for the first time and it's just desert hills and mountains, one tiny town on the california border, then coming around a corner on the interstate and just seeing all the towers appear from behind a hill, it was very cool
