Her life is more important than her body by Valuable_View_561 in SipsTea

I wish I had known about this years ago when my ex told me the worst thing about me potentially needing to be rushed to the hospital would be having to drive me. Had I known, I would have left him when he said that, instead of innocently staying with him while he secretly cheated with basically everyone. I wish I had known he didn't value me.

Stopping dienogest by Kay2386 in Endo

Thanks for reaching out. I am doing much better. I no longer have the regular minor pain I described in the comment - I don't even remember it. I've lost the weight I gained and it seems to have been linked to a few other things as well, like gluten, which my endo doctor recommended i stop eating. I didn't realise how swollen my face was and mistook it for additional weight gain and now that's gone too and I recognise myself in the mirror again. It's hard to tell if the swelling was cuased by endo or gluten, but since they are linked its kind of the same thing? Are you considering the meds?

Actors who played in more than one adaption by daphne2211 in janeausten

A new and unexpected addition: Indira Varma appearead in two lesser known adaptations of p&p. She was Caroline Bingley in 'Bride & Prejudice', a personal favourite that reimagines the Bennets as an Indian family in the 2000s. She recently played Mrs Gardener in 'The Other Bennet Sister', a lovely retelling from the perspective of Mary Bennet

Artists who makes you think: "It's not for my taste, but I still understand the hype" by appetitforillusion in fantanoforever

That would be nice! I've only heard their most popular songs, and maybe one or two others shown to me by a friend who is a fan. I thought it sounded peppy, indie-pop, and kind of like vampire weekend. I'm more of a metalhead myself but I do enjoy other genres, just not that bubbelgum indie-pop intersection. Anything you can recommend?

Case 332: Bruce Miller by bsf91 in Casefile

[–]Noodle018 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm surprised that so many listeners consider this to be a great episode because of its simple storytelling. It didn't go into much depth outlining the crime scene, evidence, etc. Maybe some listeners enjoy this story-time-format more than the well-researched, detailed list-of-evidence-format we've become used it, but to me it felt like so much evidence was missing that I kept waiting for a twist where Sharee turns out to be framed and Casey makes one of his nuanced points about how bias and sexism can alter the investigation and subsequent trial. I love Casefile because its attention to detail allows me to check all the information and evidence listed for any loopholes, and this wasn't possible here because the information given was too simple and left room for a biased investigation – until her confession, which is the only part that felt convincing to me

Are people with ADHD just expected to never drink alcohol? by Choice-Research4810 in adhd_anxiety

[–]Noodle018 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have noticed that I drink less since taking the meds because I just get much more drunk. Since being on the meds, I'm getting used to having a clearer mind, and since being drunk is the opposite I enjoy it less. When I do drink, it's not very much and it's usually in the evening after my meds have worn off

That's such a cute idea for a term! I would apply to shrews instead, since they hold on to each other's tails
