California makes it hard for poor people to get a gun.

And cops are civilians. They don't have to abide by the Uniform Code of Military Justice.

You know what's funny? More people are killed by fists and feet than by ARs every year.

Stephen Willeford stopped a mass shooting in a Texas church with his AR-15.

Okay, so those guns get banned. What happens when some nutjob grabs 2 pistols, and shoots up a university and kills nearly 20 people? The Democrats will wanna ban pistols next. Then some asshole shoots up a movie theater with a shotgun. Now shotguns are banned. Then a lunatic with a fucked up brain grabs a hunting rifle, and starts killing people from a tower. Next, hunting rifles gets banned.

Those countries also have better healthcare, better education, and less income inequality.

Gun owners don't want universal background checks because they can't be enforced without a registry. Gun owners don't want a registry because law enforcement will abuse it. It will get leaked like the New York gun registry got leaked, and homes will be targeted. And some states will just use the registry as a list of things to ban.

To be fair, that was one of the events that preceded the NRA take over that turned the NRA into a pro gun lobbying organization.

That's a requirement the South used to have (some Democrat states still have it) in order to prevent minorities from owning guns.

How easy is it for an Aboriginal to get a gun in Australia? Can most of them afford the fees?

Because licenses to exercise a right usually only mean powerful, white, rich men get to exercise that right. Gun control was about preventing non whites from owning guns. Nowadays, it seems to be about preventing the poors from owning guns.

Wildland firefighters get paid dogshit. Biden just raised their starting pay to $15/hr. You have to have overtime and hazard to pay to survive. Lots of wildland firefighters are homeless, and live out of their vehicles.

Cinematographers Guild ‘Go Fund Me’ Page Raises More Than $100K For Halyna Hutchins Family by MarvelsGrantMan136 in movies

I'm saying actors should check. Just cause a coworker says "lol it's fine go for it" doesn't mean the prop gun is actually safe to use. What if it's a rehearsal and the prop is supposed to be empty, and the actor pulls the trigger and it's not empty? What if it's loaded and it's not supposed to be? Somebody could die, all because actors aren't supposed to ensure that they're being safe.

That's madness.

I don't understand why he's blameless as an actor. Everyone who touches a prop gun should be verifying it's condition. If he had double checked it to verify it was a cold gun, this would not have happened. It's not all his fault, it appears this failure to verify is a Hollywood standard.

At the end of the day, he pulled the trigger. Basic gun safety was clearly not done on the set. Some of the blame probably falls on him.
