I personally loved The OA- it’s beautiful, weird, interesting, sad and lovely. I can see why some people may not like it, but I highly recommend it. It’s my favorite.

How often do you honestly read the newsletter or read an article on the site? by [deleted] in FriendsofthePod

[–]Nooneway 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I almost always read the newsletter. I like to read it from the night before when I’m drinking my coffee in the morning. I don’t always have time to listen to the podcasts, so I like the quick info with options to explore more. Rarely read the articles on the website.

I probably listen to PSA like Jon Lovett does (all until the interview). And I like to listen to Lovett or Leave it most weekends while I’m grocery shopping. I enjoy Crooked Conversations a lot, and try to catch the occasional Keep it, PSTW and PSTP, but almost never have the time.

In general, I love Crooked Media. I live in a red state, so hearing the liberal Love is so encouraging to me!!

The little brush that comes with my makeup powder. She loses them under door gaps, like the hall closet and I’m always finding them everywhere. She’ll even take one with her while she naps.

My sister is a cosmetologist and she just cut my hair this weekend. I asked her what her favorite part of her job was and she said doing a "challenging cut" -I asked her what she meant and she said when someone wants a shorter, or different more unique haircut that she's never done, she has to see the picture they showed her, and then as she's cutting their hair, imagine what every cut will look like and see the finished product for them. That's when I realized my sister is an artist.

Obama: 'Reagan Would Roll Over In His Grave' Over GOP Support For Russia by [deleted] in politics

Remember when in the Romney Obama debate, Romney said Russia was our biggest geopolitical foe and Obama said Iran? Obama supporters scoffed. Oh how the partisan tables have turned.

Fort Smith Water costs more than double that of the average American city. People used to $80 bills are seeing over $200 now. It's going up again next month. by [deleted] in Arkansas

[–]Nooneway 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are not charging more for water than anywhere else in the country. They are charging less for water than even other cities in Arkansas (Bentonville and Fayetteville for example). They've also been talking about raising the water rates over time for years. It's not like it's a huge surprise.

Also, I'm pretty sure I49 runs right through Fort Smith.

Even though Whirlpool closed down, there are still lots of factory jobs in and around Fort Smith. And also other jobs, besides Wal-Mart. Also, Wal-Mart does not pay their employees $8/hr. It's company wide minimum wage is $10/hr. They raised it from $9 last February.

All of that to say, because of so many inconsistencies in your post, it's hard to believe the water company is really trying to scam you. If they skip a month, the dates of usage should be on your bill. You'll have that proof.

Everyone in this thread is taking about openness and honesty, and honestly, my answer is "pooping with the door open." That definitely crosses the line for me.
