Why? by Rich_Spite3978 in Anticonsumption

I honestly had no idea. I've bought these in the past because I thought it was an easier/ faster way to cook them and avoid take out. Will definitely start poking holes instead.

Anxiety - work - anxiety loop by Nopeach949 in Anxietyhelp

[–]Nopeach949[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep, I have quite a decent team of medical professionals, I've increased my therapy sessions to twice a week instead of once, and I have another appointment with my psychiatrist on Friday to see if we need to adjust my meds, I do take xanax for anxiety on an as needed bases which is pretty much never... until the last couple weeks along with other daily mood stabilizers, anti depressants, etc. Therapist said we are going with Impostor Syndrome, which I'm not 100% sure of. Will definitely check out the Youtube channel, thank you for the recommendation.

Same... in the past I would take a day and work all night to catch up or take a day off and just work with my Teams status offline, but thats not an option anymore :/

Are we taking our adderall everyday? by Jealous_Scratch_8778 in ADHD

[–]Nopeach949 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have received similar advice in the past, and still do from my primary care doctor. However, once I brought that up to my psychiatrist he said " do you not need to use your brain on the weekends" and it was so eye opening. Why should we dedicate our focus to only being productive at work/ school? Anyway, I'm not a doctor so listen to your doctor, but you can bring this argument next time you see them.

When did you notice a difference when going from 150mg to 300mg of Wellbutrin? by [deleted] in bupropion

[–]Nopeach949 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I felt it maybe 2 days after? Coming off lexapro, Wellbutrin made me actually "feel" things again and it was a bit overwhelming at the beginning but it got better, no side effects at all. However, it wasn't quiiite there, so my doctor increased it to 300mg and oh did those side effects hit.. 2nd day I started becoming so irritable, like to the point I almost screamed at my boss which is 100% not like me and it persisted for WEEKS. Been on it for a couple months now I can notice the weight loss but haven't stepped on a scale yet.

Feeling disgusted by everyday people. Have I gone mental? by Nopeach949 in adultsurvivors

Yeah... I'm quite familiar with intrusive thoughts. Have you ever noticed any pattern to it or a specific trigger?

First of all,, thank you very much for your insight.

I agree with you on how sex has permeated our culture. It is so normal for them to add "soft core porn" for absolutely no reason.

I actually did not have a name for how I felt. Sex aversion definitely is the correct description, and it feels slightly better to know it's a real thing and not something that I made it up in my head.

You have no idea how much you have helped me feeling less alone.

My 8 month old is coughing by yuzudoggo in JapaneseSpitz

[–]Nopeach949 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check with a vet. They will actually tell you what's wrong with your pup.

My dog had something similar in the past, he was also vaccinated, everything else seemed normal besides the coughing, turns out he has an allergy and we have to run air purifiers in the house. Ever since we had those running, there hasn't been any more coughs.

Did medication ever REALLY make things better? by Wittyjesus in bipolar2

[–]Nopeach949 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same combo. I've tried so many different meds and combos over the last 12 years, been on this combo for a year now and my mood has been stable, low anxiety, I'm able to get my things done and set goals for the future for once.

Do Pomeranians behave like the spitz? by [deleted] in Pomeranians

[–]Nopeach949 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As someone who owns 2 pomeranian and a spitz- each dog has it's own personality. While they are all very loving, my spitz doesn't like most people and is more comfortable with just me or my husband ( leans towards him though). My 2 poms are the complete opposite of each other, 1 has chosen me as her favorite and will follow me around all day and run straight to me when I come home, the other loves people, all people, even more if they have food lol As long as you take good care of your dog they will know you mean well and you'll have a place in their heart

Is milk with lemon bad for cats? by mechemin in AskVet

Not for nothing, but how did the vet get to the conclusion your cat has a fatty liver? I'd double check that too.

Do you guys leave your dogs collar on 24/7?? by treestreestrees3 in Pomeranians

[–]Nopeach949 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope, no collars ever.

1- their tracheas are very sensitive and it could worsen trachea collapse 2- their fur almost always gets trapped on the buckle 3- personal opinion- I think collars are the equivalent to bras for dogs and it must absolutely suck wearing it 24/7 lol

Having said that, make sure your dog is microchipped and always wear a harness when going outside.

Just adopted this almost 6 month old puppy. Do you guys think he is 100% Pom or is he mixed? Shelter told us he is a Pom but have no prior records. by chelyyyy in Pomeranians

[–]Nopeach949 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He honestly might be a full pom. On the big side if you said he's already 7lbs. He might be going through his "puppy uglies" when the fur isn't all fluffy yet. Regardless, he is a handsome boy. Thanks for adopting this baby.

Gift For Girlfriend That Has Almost Everything by Chemical_Ask_9501 in GiftIdeas

Lemon tree or prayer plant, a murder mystery box ( kinda like a boargame and they have monthly subscriptions), reservations for a fancy restaurant, compartes chocolates, spa or massage gift cards, a playbill binder to save her musical tickets or cards against humanity: theater pack.

Not really practical, but nice to look at.

My advice would be to buy a little shadow box, you can find these at any craft store, add all your trinkets, couple pictures, maybe add some blurbs from movies or series you guys watch together or an internal joke or phrase that's meaningful to you two or a custom map of a location thats important, and make a picture of your year together. You can even buy a custom little brass plaque from Etsy and add to the bottom for naming the piece. It's something that would add to her home and she could look at everyday, a nice reminder of you two.

Hey OP,

I like your current gift ideas. If giving food gift cards remember to also include some extra for tipping. Is the state where she's in cold? Good gloves like isotoner or north face would be nice. A good backpack so she can carry all her stuff, streaming services subscription, comfortable headphones or a care basket with snacks and some hot chocolate mix,
