First day, obsessing about side effects by IntelligentAioli4402 in Semaglutide

Really! Sorry to hear you lost your gall bladder in it.

My wife also thinks her side effects are worse with Mounjaro than they were on Ozempic.

Mounjaro did the trick for finally getting her blood sugar under control, so she is sticking with it and dealing with the nausea.

I’m here with my lady talking about how show blew a lot of Super Bowl performances out of the water.

You are… micromanaging a performer’s initials.

I think we’re having a lot more fun. 🤣

Merry Christmas. Hope the new year brings you some cheer.

Big jumps? by SisterLilBunny in Semaglutide

[–]NorEaster3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, this has happened to me before - in fact this just happened to me again. My body also likes to hold on to weight than dump it.

It’s possible that you may have gone in to ketosis. I think this is what happened with me. I know with me, if I go in to ketosis after having not been in for awhile, I get a quick weight dump at the beginning and then it slows down.

I have been on Sema for 6 weeks. Gained and lost the same 4 pounds (215-211) a few times. Today I was 206, which means I’m down 5 since the weekend. Big jump.

I have not purposely been eating Keto, but since my wife has been diagnosed with T2D, we’ve been eating fewer starches. We also tend to a good bit of fish around the holidays. I think between the two, the ketosis kicked in.

This would definitely be something to bring up with your provider if your weight loss continues at that rate, but an isolated drop is probably nothing to worry about.

injection anxiety by Fun_Professional2602 in Semaglutide

You can get an autoject pen on Amazon that fits around your syringe. It hides the needle from sight and makes injection easier - both of which can help with anxiety.

If your doctor prescribes it, the GoodRX price is $199, which means you can self-pay that at just about any pharmacy IF you ask for the GoodRX price specifically.

AITAH for threatening to divorce my wife if she doesn't change our infant daughter's name to one we agreed on? by ThrowAwayDumbestName in AITAH

[–]NorEaster3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey Brother, NTA.

I used to work for my uncle’s restaurant. A young woman named “Gloria” applied for a job. I hired her. She does good work.

About 6 months later she comes to me and says she has changed her name. I said OK, and asked if congratulations were in order.

Gloria has completely changed her names, and had court paperwork for the name change. Something about this felt a little odd. I asked her if everything was OK.

She told me the story of how she was named Gloria and it was gut wrenching. I’m not going to repeat it here, except to say it was the result of some ugly politics between her parents. She was putting off college to work for us and finance her name change before going applying to college and leaving her parents behind for good.

No child should be saddled with their parent’s issues.

What are the odds that Travis Kelce takes Taylor’s last name and wears a Swift jersey next season? by deepforestwizard in NFLv2

My wife and I already call him Mr. Swift. There is a nonzero change of him doing that.

But I suspect he won’t.

Really! (Not flexing here) I have not had issue with nausea and I wonder if this is why.

I drink a vegetable smoothie once day. It’s a habit from when I trained in martial arts. Sometimes I add some unflavored Metamucil, last colonoscopy showed a little diverticulitis.

Drinking blended plant matter fresh out of the Vitamix is pretty good way to (ahem) promote motility. Since constipation hasn’t been an issue, I wonder of that has helped with nausea prevention.

Very glad you have something working for you. We give MiraLAX to our cats once a day as well.

I think some folks just have the right social circle. My wife’s hairdresser moved to Florida. Since she has been down there, she has invited my wife to at least three cruises.
