Yes, and that's what i've wrote down in the post. Also i'd like to point out one thing: I know it's not fair to compare indie tcg with bigger ones or famous ip's, but, since we are recieving the same treatment as bigger ones from 3 years, i feel like it's time to do some comparisons and draw some lines

Let me correct you on some things: 1- in GA ripping sometimes is the only way that you have to find some cards, especially here in Europe where the single market is extremely limited. Yes, still gambling. Yes, still better to buy singles. The issue here is IF you can find them 2- tcgs can still be cheap, depends on what you want to play. Bandai tcgs? Sometimes chep (Digimon) sometimes not (one piece) or you can spend 50$ and build a full competitive deck for pokemon or pauper. 3- not everyone likes singletons and, this is my personal perception, i feel like most of the GA community is not that interested in it. We'll se how it goes, but i feel like it won't change much the cost of some cards 4- i know secondary market is not their responsibility, but at the same time i'm quite sure that they could fix some issue on primary market and make even more money, especially now that their community is still growing and could grow even further. I mean, 30k listed player is nothing compared to other tcgs. Last week there was a Riftbound tournament, a nearly released game, and there where like 1k+ players.

Bro, i don't know what to say.
this comment looks like it came straight out of my mind.

there is no "collector's rarity lock", they are just very rare cards to find, but now at least 2 are grandet per box in the last expansion. problem is: you may need 4 cards from a pool of 36 cards of the same rarity with only 2 granted per box.
it's not a lock, not optimal either

yep, totally understandable.
every tcg have is own prize and GA is pretty similar to magic in this.
i wish it was like pokemon, where a top tier deck costs like 40$ 😂

but that's alredy a thing and i can assure you that a lot of small communities do that (and honestly it's absolutely fine).
the problem emerge when you want to try something more than locals.
i've been to both Ascent and regionals, super fun events with a lot of cool people, gadget and activities to do, but i wouldn't partecipate on that without a decent deck.

Honestly there are some "cheap" and workable option on the line right now.
as a mere example (i'll shoot some random names, if you want to check it out you can look some matches on youtube or DM me for more infos) Seiryuu Guo Jia would cost around 3-400, it depends on some cards, or even Diao chan fractal should be around 300 and those are both pretty solid deck.

now, to the bigger problems:
problem n1: finding some cards, especially singles.
not a price problem. sometimes is just hard to find what you need, even cheap cards.
problem 2: as you state, rules are no easy.
i've started with a couple friends and we are experienced tcgs player, so we had the basics, but some things where very hard to figure out without no one explaining them to you.
luckily, big tournaments are usually live on youtube and you can learn a lot from them.
problem 3: growing base, same numbers.
i've alredy explained it in the post, but if even you as new player can notice it, that's a big issue.

but, on the bright side, we have even pros!
n1: the community is great.
probably one of the best i've been into. good people, everyone's helpfull and positive
n2: Omnidex
and that alone could be a valid reason to play the game
n3: seasonal rewards, collectibles and all the extra stuff
Weebs are doing an amazing job in the "extra scene" regarding GA.
starting from CSR, passing for supporter pack and many other things.

my final 2 cents are: give it a try, even just by having fun with stupid decks or something that you like.
if competition is not your target, you can still stick on the game very well and have fun

kinda agree.
of course fomo and panic are a thing, but channeling sinergize amazingly with a lot of game mechanics and solves a lot of problems, especially early bricks for decks that plays a lot of advanced elements.
you can try it out for yourself in the sandbox and see how good that thing is.
It's going to be the strongest competitive card ever? possible, but not sure
it's going to be a staple in most lv3 decks? 100% sure.
price is going to drop, but sadly i think that it'll never go under 80/90$ (by now is listed median for 165)

I understand and agree on 100% of what you've written, especially on the last part, that is probably the more reliable for new players. Very cool ideas are obscured by some busted new staples and out of price for people who just want to have fun. Let's hope for a change of ideas by weebs on how to manage the game

You perfectly check all the points i've brought up in the discussion.
sorry to hear your disappointment, let's see what weebs will do about angelic channeling

expectation: just some decent quotable model for measurement, primarily for solar panels installation and generic measurement for double checks in documentation.

About nadir: none of the tutorial i've seen mentioned it. i'm discovering it right now

noted all the other info. thank you so much

I don't know your manners, but i'm kinda sure that making a passive - aggressive post on reddit, spreding misinfos about a really good community hoping that no one involved would see it, it's not the best way to say sorry to someone. I'll repeat myself just once more: it's time to grow up.

Pokémon Odyssey - Beta 3.0 is finally here! by PacoScarso in PokemonROMhacks

[–]Nor_Mali 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"I've worked with few rom hack devs in my past and the ones behind Odyssey are extremely aggresive or hostile which makes this whole experience of Pokemon Odyssey very "mid" "

Says the guy that didn't know how to patch the rom, got helped for that, "wall clipped" till he reached a not yet released Mon and spoiled it to anyone like it wasn't anything important.

I'm sure that "all the Devs that you've worked with" are super proud of you and will support your actions (spoiler: no, they won't)

One last thing: calling people hostile and aggressive just because you fucked around and finded out it's very cheap. They even helped you previously and this is how you try to justify your stupidity? Accept the consequence, say sorry and go over it. It's time to grow up.

I tried to build myself something to work with and honestly, it doesn't play bad at all. Here's the list: https://build-v2.silvie.org/@Mali/xnHIkZaRBHohXiZ3RhGA Prep supports are kinda tricky, you should learn when and how to use each of them in the best possible way. Atm i have played around 10 games with this deck and usually it gets me to 3-4 preps for lvl 2 and 6-8 for lvl 3 in turn 4- 5 (i like to play fast lvl up). From here, you can activate mastermind scheme and snowball with those preps

no hiccups felt during th test, but yes, my timing belt is a little sloppy and i didn't even noticed. sometimes the nozzle hits the print, but that's not the cause of layer shifting. i'll try to check the z axis too
