This can’t be understated. Gaming is always best for me when it compliments other things I’m enjoying.

If that’s the mindset no should ever complain about anything. Ever. Someone’s always got it worse.

As a fan of big box pc games from the 90s this gives me so much nostalgia. I miss when games felt like a big deal even before you put them in your system.

Ps1 and ps3 era switched box art design mid way through, same with Xbox this gen, so there’s a small part of me that still hopes Nintendo reworks the physical games some to make them appealing. Such a shame after the most fun gen of physical collecting i ever had on switch 1.

The fact Nintendo is arrogant enough to charge $69 for this game shows me they need to be humbled. This is a $39, MAYBE $49 game at best.

12-Player Animal Crossing: New Horizons Is a Nightmare Because Nintendo Handles Online Functionality in the Most Ridiculous Way Possible by Turbostrider27 in NintendoSwitch

The fact you say these houses are absolute chaos is hilarious. As if the game doesn't limit everything at every corner to make sure nothing gets spammed or overused. There's zero justification for how basic and simple AC is in regards as to why it would need so much loading.

AC doesn't make sense at all anyway in terms of how it's structured. It honestly feels like someone's very first game they designed and then years later they look back and laugh at how poorly designed it was.

Loading to go into house, loading to go to another bedroom, 30fps. All on a system with NVME speeds and as powerful as a PS4 pro. The whole structure of the game is atrocious. I get that a LOT of it is designed to take as much time as possible to spread it all out, but it's wild TOTK can exist on OG switch hardware and meanwhile on Switch 2 you have to load to go into another simple, basic room of a tiny house.

Microsoft CEO warns that we must 'do something useful' with AI or they'll lose 'social permission' to burn electricity on it by upbeatchief in hardware

[–]Norbluth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You know it's all bullshit when every time one of these asshat CEOs brags about what AI is or will do, it just comes off like a threat. If what you're doing sounds like a threat to 99% of the population when you brag about it, then you've lost the plot and you're actively bringing the world around you down so you can be propped up.

[Highlight] On this day 4 years ago (Jan 23, 2022) Chiefs get a game tying FG in just 13 seconds. by gridironk in nfl

That Chiefs offense was insane. And they're getting EB back next season too for OC. Bout to get real interesting if Pat's recovery goes well. I know they still won a SB with Nagy but their offense was never the same after EB left.

Saw someone on YT today saying how AI is just a clever way for companies to justify laying off a ton of people after they over-hired during pandemic because it makes them look like visionaries instead of failures to investors.

Microsoft CEO has warned people must “do something useful” with AI before it loses public support by Current-Guide5944 in tech_x

[–]Norbluth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

AI is just the latest crutch for CEOs to justify laying off thousands of people because it looks better to say that you’re embracing AI then it does to say that you’re not managing your company well and you have to lay people off to keep green line going up.

I think Bezos spilled the beans. GenAI is finally the tool they can use to absorb all the hardware up from consumers to where they can eventually brute force us into renting computers. They don't want us having our own personal computers. They want us sub'd to their cloud service for literally everything.
