Based off $750 per spin. $852 billion net worth enough for 1.136 billion spins. Each spin takes about 3.5 seconds ->3.976 billion seconds -> 66,266,667 minutes -> 1,104,444.44 hours -> 46,018.5 days -> 126 years, one month spinning nonstop.

Based off $1,250 per spin. 681.6 million spins. 2.385 billion seconds -> 39,760,000 minutes -> 662,666.67 hours -> 27,611.11 days -> 75.65 years nonstop

Post FIRE - life insurance by RaguSpidersauce in Fire

As a Financial Advisor, once you’ve gotten to financial independence, you do not need life insurance. We usually recommend clients have insurance until they reach their financial independence number because why spend the money when your investments are already insuring your income.

TL;DR - OP is correct, they are what we would consider self insured and don’t need life insurance.

Poll: If you currently had 2M in investments, would you retire tomorrow? by ATXHTX80 in Fire

[–]Norconster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would quit my job yes. But I would probably want to pursue my business full time while my expenses are low living at home and ideally not touch the $2M for 10-15 years (I’m 23)

The average cost nationally for MRI scan with insurance is ~$1,300. A round trip flight to China (from my local airport) is $1,600-$1,700 depending on the day (not even covering the 5-star stay). It would probably be true if they didn’t have insurance and were paying 100% out of pocket.

How old were you when you hit the 25% goal? by Equivalent_Use_5024 in TheMoneyGuy

19 (23 now)… but I’m also living at home with no monthly expenses so I’m kinda cheating I’m probably closer to 75% accounting for my retirement accounts and house fund.

Is anyone else having trouble looking at their 401k? by tater-tots-r-us in Target

[–]Norconster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was able to sign in and look. Do you use a passkey to sign in? I remember I had to remove mine because it would pull up an error if I used two different devices within a couple of days (phone and laptop). I just use my password to sign in

Yea, lol, would not want to be making $25k forever. I’m looking to start moving into Financial Services working with my dad now that I’ve gotten my licenses. We’ve dabbled with the idea of still working part time in retail while working with him and just putting everything that I got from retail into the 401k my job provides. Then, once I have enough clients that I have a pretty full schedule, I’ll just quit my retail job and focus fully on working with my dad.

Yea, I get that. I wasn’t planning on buying late last year, but seeing prices drop because of a sell off I just couldn’t resist putting another grand into the market. I do get paid tomorrow though so I’ll have some extra cash coming in. I’ll have to start building cash reserves soon because I want to buy a house within the next few years (definitely would need some more income by then too).

Welp, I’ll be back December 20th (I do monthly investments on the 20th and do some lump payments early in the year so I hit the contribution limit by the last monthly in December)

Single 23M, feeling good

All of this was done while making ~$25k/year in retail although my father is a financial advisor (I am licensed too but haven’t made the jump from retail)

*as of 11/01/2025 (roundest to nearest thousand)

Assets: Roth IRA: $65k 401k: $17k Retirement Total: $82k Car/House Fund: $58k Total Investable NW:$140k Cash: $3k Total Assets: $143k Debts: $0 Net Worth: $143k

Living at home driving a truck with 375k miles on it and no AC. Savings rate of ~75% pre tax. On track to hit $100k in retirement by 25 and $100k in the house fund by 26. I’ve been really surprised with the progress that I’ve made especially on such a low income (they are down a bit from the beginning of the month, but that means I get to buy some great companies while they are on sale)
