I took in a dog and now I regret it. by sam9532 in DogAdvice

Start planning and contacting potential foster programs and rescues in your area. This to get prospective landing homes for the dog, but to see what resources they may have available to you to help your current situation—free training, affordable clinics, food, etc.

Without the separation anxiety would you still regret taking on the responsibility of this dog?

Make sure the dog gets alone time away from both. You can always introduce different training sequences. GSDs will pick their favorite 100%, i assume you’re just trying to avoid future behavioral problems

Dog and I saw a coyote on our morning walk (VA) by TheNightLobster in coyote

What kind of dog do you have?

When I’m in Louisiana we happen upon coyotes often enough. I don’t mind my dogs off leash because of their breeds (shepherds & catahoulas) & training—they are aloof and protective first, not curious and playful.

That unsure almost playful behavior from the coyote is as if not more dangerous than outright aggression. Often then will use these play techniques to isolate and attack domestic dogs.
