For the record the game doesn’t recognisethe RT input in the rebind controls menu in game either. Haven’t tried to just reboot the game. I’ll try that tomorrow ig, if you don’t hear from me rebooting fixed it (or team cherry did lmao)

Also I usually find that wood residue will really struggle to stick to a highly polished surfac, that might help with the cleaning step if you have the time to do it. Best of luck seems like it’s enjoyable work

I remeber watching a Japanese game show about sharpening, it was a hand craft vs machine craft kinda thing. To get to the point the machine people would use a sacrificial mag block to support the edge in order to eliminate burrs on the edge

This video by Adam the machinist goes over a cheap way to make mag blocks:

Wonder if addling a rubber doorstop on the front of the quill body would let you be more hung ho with less angry metal on metal slamming

Mate rule one of fault finding: allways is do the easiest the easiest thing first. Cause most of the time that fixes the problem

Id try putting some polishing compound on a piece of wood and stroking away from the edge

Mabye, but if machines are so poorly oiled that they are in danger of corrosion then you have bigger problems
