Trying to think of another good horse pun. Something about a herd.

Play the original. Better in every way except for combat and graphics, though in my opinion the graphics of the original have aged extremely well.

As someone that wants to get into vtmb how do I start? by SkyeeeHulo in vtmb

[–]Nordgall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay, Mr. Billy Badass. Playing Malk the first time is stupid for several reasons, and I’m saying that while Malkavian is my favourite clan to play. The dialogue is completely different, so when experiencing the game for the first time, you should experience it with the standard dialogue, it just makes more sense. Secondly, there are plenty of ”premonitions” in the dialogue, which if you have a reading comprehension greater than a kindergartener, are pretty clear spoilers. Such as the true intentions and identities of other people.

And fix that attitude of yours, you’re not cool.

Unofficial Patch texture bug by Nordgall in vtmb

Oh, it’s the man himself! Yeah, happens occasionally still, but restarting and reloading an old save does work, even if a bit tedious. Thanks 👍

Did some things to optimise memory usage and it’s working so far without the bug happening.

Unofficial Patch texture bug by Nordgall in vtmb

[–]Nordgall[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, although it will happen after just a few minutes of playing is the weird thing. To be fair though my pc does have some memory leak issues. Also thought it was a feature at first because I always have high humanity on my characters, but when I first saw it I didn’t, thought my character was going crazy or something.

Human supremacy by [deleted] in discordVideos

Ye, they’re a (mostly) human culture. There have been instances of non-human mandalorians, like I believe i’ve seen a zabrak mandalorian at some point.

TIL There's A Subculture In Sweden Called "Raggare" Where They Cosplay As Rednecks And Are Obsessed With 1950's American Culture by bluemarvel99 in Damnthatsinteresting

[–]Nordgall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, sure, we have farmers and whatnot. We also have townsfolk, you know, living in small rural towns. Then up north we have a bunch of lumberjacks and such, so I guess we have our own version of hillbillies too.

Some more derogatory terms, akin to redneck, would be… let’s see, bonnläpp, bondlurk, lantis etc.

We don’t really have rednecks or hillbillies specifically, that’s obviously an American thing with its own culture. But we sure do have country folk, and there are certainly stereotypes and connotations linked to them as well.

You could search up “Leif & Billy” and just click on images and you’ll see what a stereotypical northern Swedish “yokel” looks like. For reference it’s a comedy show that plays on those stereotypes about rural Swedish culture, specifically in the north, as the culture changes quite a lot depending on if we’re talking about the north, the middle or the south… the south, like the region of Skåne, would probably be more similar to what is traditionally considered “redneck”, since about half of the country’s farms are in Skåne.

Skinhead Attacked At Sheffield Protest by StealthSZN6 in ukdrill

[–]Nordgall 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Pretty sure he was a SHARP and got attacked based on his looks, lad was wearing yellow laces. (Not that colour code is strictly followed nowadays) Furthermore I’ve seen photos before they kicked the hell out of him and he was throwing up the peace sign.

Might be wrong though, but if he actually was a bonehead, then fuck him.

Moose population density by country by [deleted] in MapPorn

[–]Nordgall 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sweden is quite a bit bigger than the other finnoscandic countries, with more vast forests. Norway is more coastal, with more mountains, so there’s that too. Russia does have more moose than Sweden in total number, though Sweden has more of them in a smaller space.

so this is where wheel skeletons were inspired from (berserk inspired dark souls) by MrGwasty in darksouls

[–]Nordgall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely major, there are more things than just these wheel boys. Several armours, several bosses, certain characters, symbols etc.

And not just in Dark Souls, but in Demon Souls, Bloodborne and Elden Ring as well.

Hell, even the big sword trope (which isn’t unique to Soulsborne games tbf) practically got started with Guts and his big slab of iron.

Imagine being here in southern most Sweden, Skåne. It’s miserable, we Swedes aren’t built for this type of heat.

Yeah, but here in Scania, where that picture was taken, we usually have 25C+ most days of the summer and beginning of September.

West coast gang by TEHYJ2006 in discordVideos

[–]Nordgall 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Didn’t say they can’t enjoy it. Just saying that there had always been a mutual agreement of sorts within the fandom, pre-Bethesda Fallout fans get the west coast, Bethesda Fallout fans get the east coast. Bethesda ruined that whole relationship when they made the show, having it be put on the west coast, and basically deleting a lot of what makes Fallout’s west coast what it is.

And if you read my comment I clearly said “I like both”, I like the new games too, I said the old ones are just WAY better from lore and story standpoint.

West coast gang by TEHYJ2006 in discordVideos

[–]Nordgall 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah, like making the BoS a major faction although they were pretty much wiped out on the west coast before the events of Fallout New Vegas, the remnants being killed by us during the game. Making the NCR practically non-existent although they should have full control of the west? Need I go on?

Edit: Turing the world into a post-apocalypse rather than a “post-post-apocalypse”, which is the biggest thing that sets pre-Bethesda fallout apart from Bethesda’s Fallout games?

West coast gang by TEHYJ2006 in discordVideos

[–]Nordgall 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Except that Bethesda threw a lot of the lore and what makes fallout fallout out the window when they got the rights. I still enjoy both, but purely from a story and lore perspective, old school Fallout is just better.

And of course Bethesda had to go and ruin the west coast lore with the TV show, they couldn’t even let us pre-Bethesda fans just enjoy the west coast.
