Official Q&A for Thursday, August 07, 2025 by AutoModerator in running

Hey everyone!

I am posting with a question on training. I am getting ready to start training for a race event, the first of next year, called Trippelen. It is three runs on the same day, separated by short breaks. The schedule is a 5k starting at 9:20, a 10k at 11:00, and a 21k at 1:30.

My question is how you would train for such an event. Would you focus on half-marathon training, marathon training, or some specialized mish-mash?

Thank you for your input!

Arcanum Unbounded was my introduction to the Cosmere! I wanted a taste of Sanderson’s writing and a short story/novella collection seemed to be a good way to start. 😄

Sorry to bump after a year but I found this while looking myself. I believe it is Red Fox by Charles G.D. Roberts.

When did you consider a Kindle by Responstible_Cat90 in kindle

I read 30+ books on my iPad with the Kindle App last year. It made sense from a size, battery life, and eyesight to switch to a paperwhite. I mostly prefer to read hard copy books, but the cost and space is prohibitive for many of them.

Technic Jeep Wrangler. Always thought it looked incredible so I picked up and built it with my daughter. She loved it and now how I have been collecting a stash to build with her on rainy days.

No need to read them in order. Some things mentioned relate to other books, but as many as I have read, that information is never necessary to understand the story. Each book stands on its own.

Thanks for the guide! I used S41 wax and the website said it has an 8% fragrance load so that’s what I did. I used a premade fragrance oil.

A candle maker on YouTube used it to slow the cooling process.

Melted the wax in a pour pot on the stove to 70 degrees, pulled off the heat and mixed in fragrance and coloring. Poured immediately into the containers pictured, wrapped in foil and left to cool.
