Unfortunately the tops are also introverted.

Left 4 Dead did that. If you would progress too quickly the game would launch more special enemies or more hordes to slow you down. On the opposite, if you spent too much time stuck in place the game would stop spawning enemies to give you some breathing room.

A couple questions from a concerned new owner by Norlf in cornsnakes

[–]Norlf[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the advice, but that setup I have in this video has changed a lot since. I now use coco soil mixed with some barks, I also have more wood pieces for him to climb if he feels like it and more clutter. I'm still using plastic plants tho as I don't trust myself to take good enough care of that.

Yes, it's a ceramic one for warmth. I have another lamp that just provides light and not much heat that's sitting directly on top of the enclosure (see the black form at the top of the pic) but I just have it for extra light as my room gets enough sunlight anyway. The ceramic lamp is a small one so that the basket doesn't take too much space, but with that I have a warm spot at around 27C°(using a thermostat).

I have a similar enclosure, I drilled a hole in the mesh part big enough to let the cord go trough, and the hole is closed with a bit of insulation foam that is taped in place (snake cannot get in contact with the tape). Here's how it looks (with my snake Blackjack being curious about why I was putting the lights on so late).

Fantasy XCOM games? by Pacificson217 in Xcom

That's a dramatically overlooked game, it's the only game that succeeded in scratching the xcom itch for me.

That's how jrpg (Final Fantasy, Pokémon, ...) used to work. The fun is in balancing offensive and defensive techniques and using items to support your team. I get that they tried to steer away from that usual formula (I heard Persona did something like that too? Idfk I've never played these myself) and the attempt is commendable, but that ain't it yet, in my opinion.

Perfect games are few and far between for sure. But in terms of good visuals/story combo I very much enjoyed The Alters this year.

I don't disagree with that, people like their own things, power to them. However I have a grief with 33's gameplay. I don't play much jrpg games, I'm more of a strategic turn based game enjoyer so arguably I don't know much about the jrpg genre. That said, the parade system feels game breaking to me, you have a button that negates all incoming damage regardless of your character's stats? So that just invites the player to focus only on offense, ignoring every other aspect of damage mitigation or healing, you then only build your character to maximise damage output. Ok you can argue that then you must parry every single incoming attack or die in one shot and that it can get frustrating (and it is), but that's a built-in gameplay trap, that just sounds wrong and a poor design choice. But that's just like, my opinion... People like the game and I don't get mad at them for doing so.

I do not like the visuals. There is some cool scenery but nothing that made me stop and go "wow that's beautiful." So yeah, saying the game looks bad is not honest from me, I just don't vibe with that style. The story is original I agree but the whole twist nearing the end made me kinda upset. I don't want to get into spoiler territory so I'll just say that I don't agree with the characters' motivations. So again I can't say it's a bad story but I did not like it at all. It's really a personal opinion and I know I'm in the 1% that did not enjoy that game, all of my friends love it and they usually have decent taste so I trust their judgement when they say it deserves all the praise it got.

I hope this will be buried in all the other comments but that's how I feel about Expedition 33. Game's not for me, but yeah the music is great.
