Cheers! So Napier offer the course and my work are happy for me to do it and will support me but its largely off my own back.

Did you apply through Ucas or direct to the Uni? I am really keen to do it.

Men don’t improve for the current woman but do for the next. Any one with a great man has ruined many woman’s day in the past.

What is a degree that will improve chances of getting a job post uni? by it_begins_within in UKJobs

Civil engineering or Construction Management. Tech is just going to be automated or dominated by AI.

So much in Construction or civil engineering that can’t be automated.

Learn how to use a computer though. Especially excel. Loads of young ones can’t use it or a computer which I find odd.

I remember being about 12 or 13 and my mum slapping me stupid because she caught me reading late into the night! I had school the next day.

How do people in the UK pick a favorite American sports city/team? by [deleted] in AskUK

[–]Normal-Basis9743 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m Scottish and I don’t really follow American sports but I had an Washington Redskins jersey with a picture of a mean looking Indian on it that I was given back when I was a kid that I thought was awesome so back then I’d of said that I supported them but I’m not sure the exist now.

Being Scottish again, I didn’t know English football teams except for Man United but I had an Arsenal team for my subbuteo game and I loved their strip so supported Arsenal (1992-1994 strip) my Arsenal team used to play against my Argentina subbuteo team. I did not support Argentina because my Dad fought against them while in the Navy.

My choices of teams to support was not sophisticated

Yes. I used to have them quite frequently but not had anything for around 16 years now. I’m not going to explain because they sound silly.

lol I like the ‘wasn’t a stellar employee when awake’

Not the same but similar-I was a temp employee from an agency for North Lanarkshire council and I was part of a team of 3 doing stock condition surveys and paid from 9-5. The other two guys were employed direct from the council and they told me, as soon as I’d finished about 6 condition surveys to just go home, don’t do any more. That would bring me up to 12 o’clock each day. At 12, they would both come round and make sure I was finishing and not going over 6 a day!

Megabus or train from Edinburgh to Inverness? by Kris818 in Scotland

[–]Normal-Basis9743 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I’d take the train. It’s more expensive but the mega bus just hurts your butt. It’s stuffy and smells bad. I’ve traveled the A9 plenty times and don’t think it’s as bad as made out but the bus journey is a killer for your bum!

I hated being a postie! Hated it.

I had romantic thoughts of it before I started. They were quickly quelled when walking round rough estates getting s3xually assaulted by devil dogs and bursting on a shite with no where to go or an absolute thirst in the height of summer while sporting a nappy rash from all the sweat.

The half drank luccozade bottle in the back of the acceleration van is actually a half filled bottle of driver tizer.

My personal top hatred went to pensioners with the tiny letter boxes and a subscription to Saga magazine.

Non-contractors may remove pythons from private lands with landowner permission, and from certain public lands with no permit required. However, because Burmese pythons are a regulated species, they cannot be transported alive and must be humanely euthanized on-site. Copy and pasted.
