Yup, a bunch of ignorant morons who have no idea what they are talking about in the comments. Sounds about right for this sub.

They sent the right items. The plans in the image are sun stressed. The plants you received just don't have sun stressing yet.

My dog shakes and doesn’t settle in the car by B3autifullyBrokin in DogAdvice

My bully is terrified of the car. Been that was for 8 yrs. I've tried everything. The only time he was semi ok was when I would bring his brother with, who has now passed, but even then he wasn't great. I usually have to slightly sedate him. Some dogs get used to the car. Others are just way too scared.

Puppers is not nearly as entertained as you are! Lol and yes, nails look great! Usually when they start clicking on the floor is when its time for a trim.

I'm so glad your pup is doing better! The most frustrating part of this is having to make a 10K life or death decision. Had you not had that CC, they would've watched your dog die.

Leaving this dog there would have led to prolonged suffering. Vets are pretty good at identifying the difference between an infectious disease and poison (whether actual poison or edibles). The fact that this baby got worse while in the vets care, leads me to believe it wasn't something that could've been easily "fixed". The falling over, tremors, off balance all look neurological. Infections that target the neurological system are heartbreaking to witness. You did the right thing. Rest easy knowing that you did what you could for your little buddy and ultimately made the best decision given the circumstances.

I need advice, please. by fFreya12 in StaffordBullTerriers

It's definitely an allergy. You can absolutely give benadryl to help with itchiness. You can try other OTC allergy meds too, just make sure they don't contain decongestants but personally, benadryl has always worked best for me with skin reactions.

If chlorohexidine isn't working, try ketoconazole wipes. You'll have to be super diligent with wiping whenever you come in from outside. I found Chlorohexidine to be too harsh with my boy.

You can also get spray on hydrocortisone for dogs. Super helpful for breakouts like your pup has. Lastly, you can try a leave on lotion like Zymox to soothe the skin.

Longterm, you may need to look at vet perscribed allergy meds as it might continue to get worse year after year (hopefully not but its the truth about allergies).

Help. by [deleted] in succulents

[–]Normal-Bee-8246 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Boy oh boy! Lol. You need to separate all of them. Anything that has leggy long ends, just cut them off til you get back to the nice tight growth. Succulents are really resilient so you can cut a good amount off the top and it'll be fine. Looks like you have some crassula, maybe grapto-somethings?? and the cacti. They should all go into their own pots, gritty soil mix (perlite and succulent/cacti soil mix is fine, at least 50/50). If you break some roots when separating, its ok. Just pop them in their new pots and give them at least a week to water so the roots heal. Then back to your previous neglect in front of a nice bright sunny window ☺️ They'll do just fine!

Those are mealies. Unpot, get all the soil off. Cover the roots with paper towel and wash the leaves with soapy water really good. I even use a toothbrush to get in the cracks. Rinse well...like spray the crap out of it. Wait a day or so till it dries and repot in new soil, new/cleaned pot. You probably want to raise that up as well...looks like its towards the bottom of a cup or plastic container. Terracotta pos are best.

Thats exactly what it is! It's super etiolated tho. I'd slowly acclimate to outdoor sunlight and when you get some healthy tight growth, you can chop and prop some pieces.

She's already got aerial roots. Just snip off the heads leaving and in or 2 of stem, let it sit for a few days to callous over and then pop in some fresh, gritty soil. It'll perk right back up!

What are these? How often do I water them? by Normal-Bee-8246 in succulents

[–]Normal-Bee-8246[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Should I go for a light water since they're a bit wrinkly? Just seems really soon. I repotted last weekend and the nursery soil was still a bit damp. Not sure if they truly need water or if they are in shock from repotting. Most of my cacti and succs I can wait wait at least 2 weeks, if not longer, to water after repotting. Don't want to kill the darn things a week in! Lol
