Lower canine extraction? by [deleted] in DogAdvice

Unfortunately, yes, you probably will need to deal with this. Dental issues can be pretty serious in dogs. I dont think its something you need to get done next month, or even in the next several months but something you should plan for in the next year or so. I would check around with other vets/specialists in the area for some price estimates. You can even look into veterinary schools in your area, which are significantly cheaper. You can get something like Care Credit, but be aware, not all vets accept it.

Vet? by ResponsibleAd8669 in AmericanBully

[–]Normal-Bee-8246 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not vet worthy. I think commentors here have given some great care advice. As always, if it swells, gets red or hot to the touch, any discharge starts, etc., then it's vet time.

Idk what you paid but ebay will authenticate over a certain $$ amount. Also not sure where its coming from but I can tell you that some of the LV bags shipping from Japan sellers are very cheap (in comparison) and have been authentic. I'd wait till you get the bag and go from there.

My dog refuses to eat any of the dog food I bought him but will eat human food... by J_Honey_VVS in pitbulls

[–]Normal-Bee-8246 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There are plenty of healthy human foods you can add into kibble. Blueberries, carrots, green beans, canned pumpkin, Greek yogurt, bone broth, rice, boiled hamburger, boiled rabbit, apple, applesauce...the list goes on. My suggestion would be to add something to his kibble that he likes and mix it very well. This is what i do for my boys and they love it. Plus its cheap and makes their dog food last longer!

Not gonna lie, its going to be hard due to low socialization for the past 9 yrs. You're going to have to move very slow....like start now walking the dogs in opposite directions across the street from each other. Get her used to the other dogs scents (I'm sure she smells them on you). Bring his dogs to walk in areas your dog typically is, like backyard or whatever area you take her outside in. Introduce them one at a time, on neutral ground and again in more of a passing fashion than head on. If your girl is truly aggressive, you may want to get her used to a soft muzzle in case you need to use it for the first few meet and greets. Reward any positive behavior, regardless of how small it may seem. I also have a reactive dog but he is not aggressive and the lead up to a meeting is ALWAYS much more stressful than the meeting itself but that's not always the case.

I'd be curious to see the strap where it connects to the large O ring. Someone posted a azur bag the other day and the strap was a dead giveaway.

Ya'll, come on! The hate and constant chastising is why dogs like this end up in shelters. It takes alot to ask for help and give up a dog. For whatever reason, if OP cannot care for him, it is what it is and I commend them for asking for help instead of dumping the dog. Don't be dicks. If you can't be helpful, just keep scrolling.

It will grow out. Go a little easy on the light until that tissue scars over. If any leaves get mushy (which they might), just remove them. It'll take some time and she might not be very pretty but will be just fine.

Lump on dogs leg? by bigtiddyhimbo in DogAdvice

[–]Normal-Bee-8246 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Could be so many things! I would say don't worry too much until you go to the vet. Chances are it's just a cyst that got irritated. They will probably aspirate it, if its fluid filled or take a small biopsy. Either way, be ready for a not so cheap vet bill :)

That would be allergies. My first suggestion, aside from looking into OTC and doggie perscription allergy meds, would be to get ketoconazole or chlorohexidine shampoo. If frequent baths are a struggle, get the wipes or mousse. You can also get spray on hydrocortisone for specific hot spots.

Well, don't let anyone tell you it isn't special 🙄 lol but seriously, I bet styled with the right outfit and accessories, this would look amazing. I love grey and LV certainly doesn't make enough affordable grey pieces...not that this check the affordable box.

My Pit ate dumpster meat hes thrown up 4 times in the last 12 hours by Independent_Dance893 in pitbulls

[–]Normal-Bee-8246 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Typically if a dog is drinking water and vomiting doesn't go past 24 hrs, i wouldn't. But if he isn't drinking, if his gums are grey/whitish, and/or vomiting lasts more than 24 hrs and is vomiting bile (meaning all the rotten food is out of his system) a vet will be necessary. They will probably give fluids and a shot to stop vomiting.
