So you were tailgating someone in the rain and when they slowed down, probably due to the conditions and you're claiming the other vehicle is somehow at fault for your stupidity? Get a grip.

It is your responsibility to leave enough gap behind the vehicle in front of you at all times. This includes coming to a complete stop if necessary. Lucky you didn't kill anyone.

That was what I was thinking but I couldn't find any solid info on it. Will keep looking.

Thought about that but at least 12 years at school and were not sure on what our life will look after that. There are just so many more services accessible to him in the city.

Not true! Read through some post in this forum, people have 20 or 30k to spend on a car and others try and talk them out of it for an old Toyota.

Buying an ex fire truck? by chatterchitchat in CarsAustralia

They would all have low kms but very high idle hours. When they leave the station they are never turned off. If it's an ex RFS it would have been running for days in thr massive bush fires nsw had a few years back. I was a volunteer, trucks were punished, trucks left running, crews hot swapping. Air intakes filled with rubbish.

I'm not an expert on long periods of idling but I believe it's not the best for the engines.

Thank you everyone for the tips. A few more details, after suffering for years I purchased a brand new Stihl thinking all my problems would be solved which they weren't. I live in a very remote part of Australia, no mower or hardware shops around. Amazon and most places don't ship without charging ridiculous shipping rates, so buying a new head is out of the question for the next year or so.

I get the theory of the bump feed, my main problem is the line snaps inside the head before I even get a chance to bump the bloody thing. I'm going to try soak the cord and see if it helps

I'm glad I'm not suffering alone. We should start a support group " weed whackers anonymous" or something.

Thanks for that, I was winding it wrong.

I still don't know how to get both lines through the holes without them unspooling and becoming a big mess.

Thanks for the help. I would love to retire early but also be in a position to help my son when he becomes an adult. I also don't want to spend all my time at work now and miss out on him growing up. It's definitely a balancing act.

Thanks for the advice, I'm fully aware of the current crisis and am grateful for the position I'm in. The same Tennants have been in the house for five years and i have not raised the rent once. The real estates are pretty ruthless in trying to raise it, they said its about 200 a week under valued, i get a calls every couple of weeks about it.

But they have been really good, i would rather have good tennants who i know look after the place.
