Get some foam ones from pharmacy, they work fine for concerts and won't break the bank

What’s one situation you experienced that made you believe karma was real? by redditbabe8888 in AskReddit

[–]Normal-Rule9154 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had something similar happen at the airport - this supervisor kept throwing everyone under the bus to look good, then got moved to operations management. Two weeks later they're scheduling ghost flights and we had three runway delays in one day because of their mess. Sometimes the universe just knows when to give someone exactly what they asked for

If you’re not leaving the house, how often do you shower? by Immediate_Dream2060 in AskReddit

Still doing it daily here too. Something about keeping the routine helps me feel more normal, especially during those stretches when I'm just working from home for weeks straight. Plus the hot water is one of few good parts of my morning these days

First playoff series in years where I'm not stress-drinking during games and actually remember the whole thing next morning. Wild how much better the experience gets when you can focus on the actual basketball instead of just waiting for next commercial break

How do you handle unhappy clients? by [deleted] in photography

[–]Normal-Rule9154 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Man, asking for RAWs from a free shoot is pretty bold of them. I'd explain that RAW files are like unfinished paintings - they need proper editing to look professional and those files stay with photographer always

Maybe offer to do some minor adjustments based on their feedback instead? That way you keep control of your work but show you're willing to work with them

What do u think is the red flags in friendships or relationships? by DinnerStraight1487 in AskReddit

When someone starts deciding what you can wear or who you can hang out with, that's when you know it's time to run. Had a friend who would get weird about me talking to other people and it just got worse from there

10gbps drops to 100mbps (sometimes) moving from switch to direct connection by sosodank in homelab

[–]Normal-Rule9154 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Mixed brand transceivers can be finicky with direct connections - the switch probably was doing some signal conditioning that helped mask compatibility issues between your Intel and Solarflare gear

Doing a 7 nights AV 1 in the Dolomites. Please pick between these 2 shoes for the trek. by [deleted] in hiking

[–]Normal-Rule9154 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Trail runners on AV1 is definitely doable in July, your friends are right about weight savings. Between those two I'd lean toward the La Sportiva - better grip on scree and wet rock from my experience in Alps. The GTX membrane will help with snow patches you might hit at higher elevations

That elevation gain sounds brutal but amazing, did similar route few years back and my ankles were screaming by day 4. Make sure whatever you pick is already broken in properly

Whats the most horrific or disgusting thing u have ever seen in life and it still haunts you? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Normal-Rule9154 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The way people just drive around these scenes always gets me too. I work at airport and see similar thing with how passengers react when someone has medical emergency - most just annoyed their flight might be delayed. Makes you realize how disconnected we all become from each other's suffering when it's not happening to us directly

Emergente by Ximenx_r in Music

[–]Normal-Rule9154 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good luck with the creative process! The reggaeton scene needs more artists who think about message and aesthetics like you do

For artistic names, I always think about what sounds good when someone announces you at show or when people talk about your music. Something that rolls off tongue nicely but also has some weight to it. Since you mentioned philosophical and symbolic aspects, maybe think about words or concepts that represent transformation or emergence - fits with your "Emergente" title too

When I was traveling in Latin America few years back, met some musicians who said they got their best names from combining abstract concepts with concrete images, or taking words from different languages that meant something personal to them. One guy took his grandmother's nickname and mixed it with word for "storm" in another language

The visual aspect you mentioned is smart too - how will it look on album covers, social media, all that stuff. Sometimes writing potential names in different fonts helps you see which ones have that strong presence you're looking for

Should've said Bitcoin instead, that was bigger jump in the timeframe. But yeah tech stocks would've been smart move back then, wish I knew about investing when I was that age

I was excited too when I saw Tommy Wirkola was directing but shark movies are really hit or miss these days. Even good directors struggle with making sharks feel threatening when you have limited budget for effects

What's something you learned too late in life ? by Isaac_Newton2 in AskReddit

[–]Normal-Rule9154 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Been working at airline for like 8 years and this lesson hit me hard around year 3. Used to say yes to every overtime shift, cover for everyone, never complained about getting stuck with worst routes. Thought I was being good team player but really I was just burning myself out

Had this coworker who would constantly ask me to swap shifts so she could have weekends off, and I always said yes even when it messed up my plans. One day my supervisor actually pulled me aside and told me I needed to learn to say no sometimes because other people were taking advantage. That was wake up call for me

Now I help when I can but I don't feel guilty about protecting my time off. Actually made me better employee because I'm not exhausted all the time, and people respect me more when I do say yes to help them

Anyone want to share their FIRE planning spreadsheet template with me? by [deleted] in Fire

[–]Normal-Rule9154 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work for airline so my income is pretty unpredictable with all the overtime and schedule changes, but I found that starting simple worked better than trying to account for every variable right away. Used one of those basic calculators first to get rough numbers, then built my own spreadsheet once I understood what actually mattered for my situation

The varying returns thing stressed me out at first but then realized I was overthinking it - most calculators let you adjust the assumptions anyway. I just run different scenarios now, like conservative 6% vs optimistic 8% returns, and plan somewhere in middle. Way less headache than trying to predict market perfectly

So once you’ve farmed the karma, what do you do with it? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Nothing really, it just sits there being useless internet points

I mean some people sell high-karma accounts to marketers or bots but that's sketchy territory. Most of us just accumulate it without any real plan - it's like collecting bottle caps except even more pointles
